I've got an old Sansui integrated amplifier (AU-719), but before it stopped turning on it sounded awesome, been thinking about having it worked on, but don't really have a place for it. That thing is built like a tank.
Perhaps after I build a shop, I'll put it in there with some DIY towers.

Sansui eh? I wish I still had the first receiver I ever bought. It was in 1966, I bought a Sansui 500a receiver, a not so small 40 pound tube receiver. I got it from the Navy Exchange in Yokuska Japan.
@ 20wpc it wasn't the powerhouse the 1000a (40wpc)was but I enjoyed it. Had it for 2 trouble free years. I was offered a car in trade for it and the Realistic speakers. Can't remember the speaker model but it had 10" woofers and that diagonal diamond pattern wood grilles. Very nice sounding speakers.I thought I'd gotten the better part of the deal, but on reflection, it may not have been the best swap.
I did need a car. I hate walking and/or taking a bus. I keep eying the old Sansui 500a and 1000a receivers on ebay. I may just pull the trigger on one of them one these days.

Thanks to all that have posted glowing reports on the ERD-1s.
I just figured out my tax return for last year and have money to play with so I ordered a pair of them.
If they are anything like the bang for the buck the UPA-7 has been, I'm sure they will perform as advertised and better.

Can't remember the one, but it had something like 120wpc. I had a lowly Kenwood 4070, 40wpc. He had the Realistic Mach 1s hooked up to it. I'm surprised neither of us is deaf. I remember the back on that thing was about as clean as any receiver I've ever seen. I'm partial to the Sansui, my first receiver was the 500a. Nice tube receiver. Nice smooth sound but not powerful. I think it was 20wpc.

I think it was 20wpc. The G9000 is 160 watts per channel into 8 ohms. The G8000 put out 120 watts. The backof both are very clean because all connections are made on the sides of the receiver.
