The BobCarver.com site shows their location as Nicholasville, KY which looks to be a little South of Lexington. But didn't Dan mention something about Seattle in the podcast?

Bob Carver is from the Seattle area and his company is headquartered there. He manufactures his current amps in Lexington KY with his old Sunfire partner Bob Farinelli. So if the partnership with Emotiva moves manufacturing to Franklin, that was the basis of my comment about moving 258 miles down I64.

I hope this partnership might create an integrated with Carver-designed tube pre and Emotiva solid state output.
I miss my Sunfire Theatre Grand IV processor, which had the best analog side I've ever heard in an HT pre-pro. Maybe the XMC-2... with Carver goodness... and Emotiva goodness... combined. Drool.

I've owned a few things from Sunfire, the TGR-3 was amazing(Theater Grand Receiver 3). It was very heavy and still think it is and will be one of the best AVR's made.

Maybe I missed it somewhere but, will there be tube gear under the Emo brand, or will there be a separate offshoot brand started up for the tube gear? Or maybe both?

I am thinking there will be Bob Carver Audio (separate). But it might bleed over to Emo. Like a tube buffer or tube stages on various products.

Good for him and that means good for all of us!

And as for the name of this new entity, I've seen Carvertiva bandied about, but I'm thinking that Emotiver is the clear winner... -RW- Emotivaby Bob Carveron all tube equipment

I've driven by the Carver shop in Nicholasville many a time. I used to live and work in Lexington. To be honest, it is hard to know where Lexington stops and Nicholasville begins - thus them claiming that they are in Lexington. It is the Kentucky Lexington/Nicholasville.

That's Great News Dan.. Thank You for clearing my mind, lol A price increase will be the LAST thing you'll see coming! We're going to use our manufacturing and purchasing leverage to reduce prices, not increase them. And we're going manufacture of these beautiful products in Franklin, TN USA. It's going to be fun. ;D Cheers, Big Dan
