Garbulky, those Living Voice Olympian are incredible craftsmanship. They are made for superyachts. Made exclusively by hand in England, each pair of cabinets takes 5 skilled artisans 2,000 man hours to build; 1,400 hours for the cabinets alone and 600 hours for the bronze, silver and gold work – executed with absolute attention to detail. The Living Voice Cosmotron are also Steampunking awesome. Then there are these. I dont know anything about them but check out the blog I found them on. Something about how these look makes me think that they were in the back of a pimped out civic at a drifting competition. (Or maybe supra) I think that it is the woofer cabinets.

I read that article they did about it and they talked about the attention to detail in workmanship in the tweeter sections of parts that would never ever be seen unless somebody took the thing apart. The oswald mills were mentioned here and I've never heard of them but I was immediately struck by their very nice design. Thanks for the heads up. This thread is fun because I get to hear about brands I would never have heard of before. I've been looking up most of the speakers mentioned here and it's a lot of fun.

Best looking? How about the Arabesque: Or the Oswald Mills Monarch: And I've always liked the looks of Sonus Faber's Aida: David I just noticed you knew about Oswald Mills and I just stumbled upon them. His designs and woodworking has a Frank Lloyd Wright quality to them. Not saying it's like Frank Lloyd Wright but just great designs. I love good woodwork. Do you know anything about his speakers to share ? Thanks, Mike

Well, I'm a Maggie guy and these are the nicest pair I have ever seen. MMGs in custom frames. Those really are sharp! Lot's nicer than the Peter Gunn frames....

Thanks, Mike Oswald Mills designs are very natural and clean sounding. They work best in fairly large rooms. As very high efficiency systems can be driven with as little as 10 watts. They are not inexpensive but they sound very good indeed.
