RW, I also had a pair of Ohm Walsh 2 speakers in oak, and a pair of Ohm L2 in walnut. In fact, I was a salesperson at Tech Hifi back in the day. Ohm was the "house brand." I always did love them...especially the Ohm F, which I could never afford. C I had a pair of Fs but sadly never the power to drive them. They really needed more than 50wpc. Agreed. My boss at Tech drove his with a Phase Linear - can't remember which model though - 4000, 400, or D-500. His system was awesome. C

Maybe not the best looking speakers, but at least remarkable:

Wow! I bet that transmission line will throw down a 10 Hz wave front - whoa!! I guess this is a the definition of "house sound" <g>!!
I just took a good look at the entire setup - that room is INSANE!!

C The guy I got them from had a couple Harmon Kardon Citation 16s bridged for mono. They drove the Fs quite well.

Yeah, I powered my Walsh 2s with a pair of bridged NADs, 165 watts/ch. Those speakers sounded terrific with those amps...

Always one of my favorites... I am working on a new cabinet design that will bring them into the modern world. The new look will feature the same front baffle aspect, and internal volume, but after that all bets are off.

Surely it is an interesting speaker, but *beautiful*? C'mon, it's a big slab of grill with some wood surround...

IMO the B&W system is a triumph of form over function. They look cool that's for sure, but they really don't sound that good - to me at least.
