I listed everything I have in my stereo (not just stereo listening) as that's what I understood from the thread title. So I listed my 5.1 setup.

I've been lucky and have some very nice stuff given to me by clients who've upgraded their own systems (Sony TV, Definitive Tech subwoofer), and scored a sweet Denon DVD-A/V/SACD player for US$35 at a thrift shop, so not including CD's, DVD's, BluRay's, etc., I'm in the 3-5K range.
Considerably more than double that if you include all the media.

It's never ending. I have been very fortunate being able to purchase some real nice equipment. I never felt comfortable buying used with anything unless of course I can see it in person before I buy. I know their are some people on this forum that have some really sweet set ups from buying used. Some people really know their stuff. I would say my investment is between the $15-$20,000 range but that includes a 6.1 system and a Home Theater not just stereo. With the recent addition of 2XPA1's gen2 I think it will be a year or two before I can afford anything. I like to make an improvement on my processor. The 990 has served me well but it is ten years old. Patience.....
