As the poll suggests I am curious about how much everyone has invested in their stereo, actually invested not retail value? If you do not have a dedicated stereo please count only the items in your theater which would be used while listening to stereo music. Thanks guys and happy listening. You can either just vote in the poll to stay anonymous or you can comment below about your great deals

I'm pretty sure you auditioned the Sony Hap-Z1es . I don't see it in your sig . I'm considering it and would appreciate your review. Thanks.

If you count past equipment, then I pass 10k.

I've been an addict a long time and over that time my "investment" easily exceeds $20k and then some!

I understood the question to be exclusively about whatever we own now. So my choice was based on that and not including the TV which puts me in the 3-5k range I think.

I was floating at about 10k for the past couple years. I buy and sell gear though about like other guys tube roll LOL. Now with my last two purchases I am about 15k into it. Buying used does have some perks

When you say stereo, do you mean every conceivable way that an owner can listen to two channel?,,,,,,,that could change things.

My bedroom set up (see sig) I have about $1,200 invested. For my HT, when listening to just 2-channel I would count just my F/R speakers, ERC-1, XDA-2, Pre-1, and XPA-2; I have about $1,700.

My favorite Vinyl, CD, PC, Digital, on line service, ( Pandora etc. ) FM stereo? ?? You see my point? Not trying to be a pain,,,,,just wanting to narrow down the gear. if it's just one track from one form factor, I can do that as well,,,,,,,I'm just a little literal when it come to stuff like this. Wow, I didn't realize how much I had wrapped up in this ! I have my home office system right about 2k (nothing was bought at retail) and my Living room around 4k. most of it was bought over the last 2 years. No wonder I can't afford the used Corvette on my bucket list !!

The money goes away quick!!! I make a very decent living with no kids. Everytime I drop a bomb on an audio purchase it sets me back. $1,500 here $500 there. On top of my expensive wine/food habit, bluray purchases, and vacations it adds up fast. With all that said, I am nearing the end of the audio journey for a while. I will either go with a UMC-200 or XMC-1. After adding one of those to my system I will decide if I want new speakers or not. The next replacement down the road will be OLED, or PJ. That will be when the Panny dies or I get a dedicated HT room. Regardless of if you have 2k or 50k in your sig, if you enjoy spending your hard earned money on it, then do it and never look back. Life is short, be happy.

Counting only current equipment, I come up with $6,974.00 not including taxes and shipping costs. What a deal!
