Great speakers, Danny! However, keep in mind that Nick will really benefit from timbre matching his speakers. This implies Salks all around if he goes for those. Since he already has a complement of Paradigms, and seems to like that sound, it would be most efficient for him to stick with Paradigms. And Paradigms are all over the 'net, he can easily scoop up what he needs used and save a boatload of cash.... SCT Thanks. But I have to disagree. Thats like saying since I have bose acoustimass 2.1 system, I should buy 3 more bose cubes for the fronts. I say get the front 3 first, then when he finds what he likes, get the matching rears. And use the ADP's for now Sent from my SM-P600 using proboards

I want to thank Danny for having the guts to say what I didn't. It was what I was thinking all along. And Nick, you are wrong about timbre matching your speakers. ALL of the speakers in a surround sound system are important, and you will find that timbre matching ALL of the speakers will pay big dividends in providing a cohesive soundfield. The improvement is an order of magnitude more apparent than what you gained from buying the XPR amps, think about that. You have already spent big bucks on your electronics, why would you shortchange the system by using less than properly matched speakers? It makes no sense. I agree 100% with Danny, sell the lot of what you have and re-build with timbre matched speakers all around. The improvement in your sound quality will be astonishing, I promise you that. There are plenty of ID companies producing *fabulous* speakers that will allow you to do 30-60 day in-home trials: GoldenEar, Tekton, and Gallo (and Gallo pays shipping both ways if you return the speakers!!) come to mind immediately. Do it right, your system and your ears deserve nothing less... SCT Is golden ear an ID company? Also are you talking about Anthony gallo speakers when you say gallo? I didn't think either are ID companies?

I don't think that Paradigm sells B-stock. However, there are a ton of used Paradigms on the market. Why not save some money and go that way? FYI, you can do better than Paradigm for the same money. GoldenEar Tritons (7s are *awesome*) come to mind. As do Tekton Lores and Pendragons. No matter, any of these brands will be a big step up from the Klipschs and Bose you currently have... SCT Try the Tekton Enzo's, freakishly awesome sound.

Hey Nick, I still think if your system is set up with Klipsch speakers and you are happy with them...stick with them. After two complete HT's with Paradigm speakers all around I find they cannot compete with the raw output the Klipsch can produce, especially for deafening sound effects and when listening to music. The 15 inch Paradigm subs I had however really rocked, I kind of miss them...
