Bridges came up with a vocal quality maybe for True Grit where it might have worked, a cross between marbles and chewing his cud (can you tell how much I like it). The problem is he seems to like it and I now hear it in everything he does, Well since this is a music forum, have you ever heard his music? Okay, saw Noah this weekend. Same-O-same-O for me. Just don't care for Mr. Crowe. Can't get past it. I'm the only person on earth that pretty much hated Gladiator and turned it off half way through. So don't use me to judge this movie because getting me to like one of his movies is like fighting an all up hill battle. Movie = C-.
Sound wise it's nothing special, that is until the storm comes, then holy crap!!! It was like being right there in the middle of it, and more. Sound = A.

When it comes to these BD/DVD combo releases, I just look for the solid blue disc. Works every time. As far as following the Bible, there isn't really much to follow as Noah and The Flood is only 4 chapters in Genesis. Most of the stuff that is in the Bible is in the movie. The only things that stood out for me was the door for the ark not being on the side and sending out the dove twice before it brings back the olive branch and then it not returning on the third time. 80% of the movie was made up in an attempt to explain the stuff missing in the Bible. I thought the movie had more in common with Lord of the Rings than with a Bible story, with the magic fire rocks and stone giants ( fallen angels / Watchers ) helping to build the ark. I'm not a religious person either ( agnostic ), so maybe I'm forgetting some things that are in the Bible. That doesn't keep me from reading the Bible and seeing it as a window into what was going on 2000 to 3600 years ago.
I do know that most theologians are not encouraging their congregations to see the movie because it was written by a couple of atheists. LOL
