Forgot to ask you what hardware you used to mount the driver to the cabinet, just some #8 or #10 black screws ? Honestly I just use 1" course thread drywall screws.

Cool, I have tons of those here, do you pre-drill at all to not crack the MDF or should be alright, even though I have worked with MDF so much I still get nervous not pre-drilling haha

Whatever makes you feel better man.. I never predrill when installing the driver but if I gotta do it on the edge of the bpx, like to put the corners together then I predrill.

Just don't overtighten (strip the hole)and you'll be fine.

I like it. It looks a little light for my room but I'm sure it'll look a lot darker when you get it in your room. Yeah it looks way better than the 10x that I sent you the picture of.

Yeah at least now I'm getting the true color of it with my SLR, my blackberry makes it look blueish when i see the pics beside each other haha, and it's currently in a very bright room at the moment as well, I totally agree as the 4x is really thck already and I'm not even sure how the 10x would go on lol, you would have to use a cement trowel

Looks like it covered the seams perfectly. Does it seem like it's gonna be really resilient when it cures?

I'm hoping so, if I run say my fingernail on it it does leave a mark but more of a mark from filing my fingernail haha, it's for decks so I'm assuming it should be, especially when you have things like deck chairs sliding on it and such.

So how did you get them to change the color for you? Did they just mix it at the paint department?

IMHO I think you should double nut the feet bolts. I know you have a lock washer but the rubber washer will compress over time as will the MDF too.

Looks amazing. Just a lttle food for thought: I managed to tighten up the bass a lot on my Quadral by replacing the standard feet with spikes. In fact, if pushed to pick the No. 1 tuning improvement to my system, that would be it. Perhaps I should add that the Quadral stands on a tiled floor. You will probably do what follows, but I'll mention it for anybody new to this stuff. Don't forget to tighten those screws after a few months!

That's a good idea and wouldn't hurt for sure, the good thing about the rubber feet is they as well compress when you tighten the bolt and may help keep things tight for longer. Chad

Mine is going in the basement on a carpet floor and while the basement is concrete it has a wood sub-floor as well Chad

Is it there yet? Oh man why does Canada post take so long... I'm probably as excited as you are...
On a side note I was talking with Mark from mach 5 yesterday and as soon as the first round of uxl's go out we're going to be doing a group buy on the Ftw-21... details to follow.
