I got my RMA number today (XMC-1 stopped working after 6 days). I asked about possible date of opening of the Canadian repair facility and was told that they don't have this information.

Are there any news regarding Canadian repair facility or was it an April fools joke?

Are there any news regarding Canadian repair facility or was it an April fools joke? hopefully the Canadian demand becomes enough to lease a unit in an industrial strip mall with some warehouse storage? maybe the logic is like "if I do it for my children in Canada, I have to do it for them all (Europe, Australia, etc)" and then they will lose their online direct to customer approach... increase overheads, selling price goes up.....?

I was given a preliminary (unofficial) confirmation about June 1st data for Canadian repair facility (same info as in April's podcast). No word about location yet. So it looks like it is slowly but going there.
The irony is that I don't need to RMA my XMC-1 anymore. I managed to revive it by flipping the power switch several times.

Any of y'all had to send equipment in for RMA in Calgary as of yet? I'm trying to figure out what I should be expecting for timelines.
Seems I never fully appreciated my UMC-200 until it died and I no longer had a home theater heh.
If no one has any experience, then i'll just provide an update once they finally contact me back to let me know it's repaired and being shipped.

Coincidentally, almost a month to the day after they received my equipment and the day I was about to follow up on my email from 2 weeks ago they responded with the following:
Thank you for your patience while we get the Canadian Repair Center up and running.
We received your unit for repair; RMA number 72984. We currently are estimating repairs to take between 2-3 days. If at any time during the repair process a technician has a question regarding your unit, you will be contacted.
Once your completed repair has shipped, you will receive tracking information from the shipping carrier.
While it sucks being without the heart of the system, I can understand the wait, I just with companies would do a better job at the customer service side and keeping you in the loop.
