Hi gents, I have 2 questions:
1. XMC-1 coming out from power-off state triggers flip twice, causing my XPA-7 to power on, back off, and power on again. Any workaround other than keeping XMC-1 in standby?
2. XMC-1 connected to PJ via HDMI out-1 to HDMI in and computer monitor via HDMI out-2 to DVI in. In this configuration the projector shows incorrect color space (all green). Disconnecting the HDMI out-2 cable and rebooting the source connected to XMC-1 does not fix it, only shutting down and powering back on XMC-1 does. I thought XMC-1 doesn't do any video processing internally?
Thank you.

Tried that solution for #1 - no help. The only difference that now it trips the trigger when powering on, then turns it off much sooner, and keeps it off until the trigger input is selected. So double-tap again...

So double-tap again... It works for me. Did you make sure the box for the input you tried is not ticked in any of the trigger setups?

I am with Kir... I tried that solution and it didn't work! I did make sure the box for the unused input (HDMI8 in my case) was not checked for trigger input.
Any ideas anyone?

For all triggers, right? If I turn on my XMC by itself, nothing running off any trigger turns on until I switch to another input. I also have the input set to not show in the main menu. Not sure why that would make a difference if it does. And I have CRC turned off as well. Correction: I do have Front In as visible from the Main menu. But none of the triggers trigger anything when I have it as the start up input.

Did anyone find a solution to issue #1? I am having the same problem. I tried geebo's workaround, and it didn't work for me. The trigger becomes active as soon as the power button on the XMC-1 is pushed. Then, after about 20 seconds of startup time, the trigger turns off. Now that I have assigned an un-triggered input as the default startup input, the trigger stays off until I select a different input. But, that doesn't solve the problem. The amp still goes through an unnecessary power cycle. That can't be good for the amp.
geebo, in your case it seems like the trigger does NOT become active immediately when the power button is pushed. I wonder why you see different behavior. Something else in your settings must be causing the trigger to stay off during the startup sequence. Any ideas?

The workaround is to put the XMC-1 in HDMI pass-through standby mode. I don't need that, but it greatly reduces the start-up time which is nice. However, it will consume a lot more power in this mode I suspect. We'll see if it gets warm.

I find this thread interesting as I have never had a problem with the XMC triggering my XPA 5. XMC boots, XPA does a channel check and then fires. I wonder why there are folks with an issue....

All I can say is I have chosen the Front input as the startup and I get no trigger activity until I switch to another input. I'll check my exact trigger setup tonight. And I do not use Video Standby mode.

Something else in your settings must be causing the trigger to stay off during the startup sequence. Any ideas? Below are my trigger settings. I have Trigger 1 controlling my XPA-1Ls, Trigger 2 controlling my XPA-5, Trigger 3 turns on my Panamax power center and Trigger 4 is not used. I do not use Video Standby. When I turn on the XMC and when Rethink High End is displayed my Panamax 5300 is triggered on by trigger 3. No amps are triggered at all during the process. If I switch inputs to HDMI 1, my XPA-1Ls start through Trigger 1. If I then put on some multi channel material the XPA-5 triggers on via Trigger 2 because of the surrounds getting a signal. My turn on input is Front In Trigger 1 Power: Main only checked Input: All except Front In are checked Speakers: Fronts only checked Headphone override: Checked Trigger 2 Power: Main only checked Input: HDMI 1, 2, 3, Analog 7.1 and Optical 1 checked. All others unchecked. Speakers: Surrounds only checked Headphone override: Checked Trigger 3 Power: Main only checked Inputs: All checked Speakers: Fronts only checked Headphone override: Not checked Trigger 4 Nothing checked anywhere.

Call Emotiva and discuss it with them. I had this issue... And took care of it through Emotiva. Some folks have the issue, some don't, some have work arounds that work..but don't work for others. But I know first hand there are remedies so... Call them

I have the same problem with my Theta Dreadnaught D amp triggers twice. And this can't be good.

So don't quote me on this but I am under the impression that some early models the fix was a special trigger cord from Emotiva. On mine I sent it into Emotiva, and I believe they replaced a resistor or added one. Ever since Its worked great, no issues, no trigger issues. I said to call them because they will probably have a good idea precisely as to what the issue is that is causing this for you. My amp only gets triggered once right at the very end of the long boot low power mode.

Received the special XMC-1 trigger cable, and it didn't fix anything. So I called the tech support again, and when they double-checked that my XMC-1 is connected to XPA-7, they confirmed that this is the "normal behavior" and no trigger cable it going to fix it
