Also, our business has not received a single dime in Federal bailout money. We have been turned down for everything we applied for. No one carved out anything for our specific industry.

Our Cincy Steak and Shakes shut down "for remodeling" quite a while ago - like...a year or so ago? They still have signs in the window saying "opening soon", but the word has it that they were company owned stores and the company wanted to franchise them out. But, nobody is buying the franchise, so they are sitting closed. There is one open nearby in Indiana...about 45 minutes away. I have a feeling the franchise has been on shakey (pun intended) ground for a long time. The food is decent, but the service is SOOOOOO slow. I only went there when I was with a group that wanted to go and didn't mind it taking so long. Mark

Got my old Bonneville out and went for a test drive today. To see Shamu in all her glory... -->CLICK HERE<---Here she is rolling down the road. -->CLICK HERE<---This is what she looks like sitting still. (Top was up on the drive because rain was on the way in, and I'd just cleaned the inside) Mark

View AttachmentMy wife and I name all of our cars. Shamu was perfect given (with her high compression 389) and her size and colors - she's a killer whale! My daily driver is a 2017 Honda Accord. His name is "Sako Joe". When I was young, I had a very bad speech impediment and could not pronounce my own name. My Great Aunt had a foreign exchange student named Sakutaro Takahashi who was studying Engineering at U of Illinois. I was very embarrassed by my impediment. He was very kind to me, and when he realized I could not pronounce his name, he said "it's OK...call me Sako Joe" So, I did...we became good friends. When I got the Accord, I thought of him - he was very techie like me. And my car, Sako Joe, is also loaded with tech. I'd love to see my real Sako Joe and his wife Miwako again and tell them how much he meant to me. Mark

My daughter graduates high school next week and is going to Ohio State University studying BioChem in the PreMed program. One of the special touches they did for the class, among many others, was to have a Senior Caravan. We decorated cars, drove to the high school, then we drove all over the whole community. The community was out in full force cheering on all the Seniors. A friend caught a picture of us in Shamu along the path. Meet the future Doctor Kline sitting on top of the car in the back. Mark

What a Saturday. Been lots of rain. Trying to stay busy, and not letting COVID-19 consume me unlike some of my friends who literally have become junior doctors. I kind of keep away from these now as they are more toxic than the disease sometimes. Enjoy life while staying safe!

Dolby is doing the stupid dance, and no one is going to like it. Center Spread is dead on any new processor or receiver you buy moving forward. F'ing stupid and incredibly dumbfounded by this move. Dolby needs to do it better since we will not go to theaters anymore. Crowds, Spacing? Get it? Now Dolby wants to screw us at home too. Bastards! Now I almost hate Dolby as much as the communists at HDMI!

I want to make a post that is 100% medical in content and intent. I intend or imply zero political leaning or intent whatsoever in my post. Please make no political posts or I'm sure it will be quickly closed. I want to correct much of the false information that is currently being spread across the media about this drug (unfortunately much of this is for political mis-information, but I will get into this no further and hope neither will you.) I'm not a medical person but personally have a great interest in several medical subjects from cancer to heart disease. Many of my studies are a result of family illnesses. My brain is like a sponge for info when I find an illness that gets my attention. Noriko has been on the prescription drug Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) several times for two different issues since we met. She was diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome. Sjogren's comes with serious complications if left untreated, including: an increased risk of lymphoma and multiple myeloma. She was on the drug for several years and no longer has the symptoms of Sjogren's, nor did she experience any noticeable;e side effects. She some years later was diagnosed by a different doctor as having RA, somewhat similar to Sjogren's but with different symptom's for Noriko. Her doctor after extensive testing put her on a DMARD, Disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug, hydroxychloroquine, one of the most commonly prescribed DMARD's for RA. The treatment, about 12 months was successful with no noticeable side effects and the RA has not returned. Hydroxychloroquine is also an antimalarial drug (which most folks here are probably aware of) which is relatively safe and well-tolerated agent for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and Sjogren's. There are currently reports on the news and online about the success and failure of this drug in treating COVID-19. If you look into the testing results from a medical aspect only (and no side political intentions) you will find as I have that Hydroxychloroquine is quite successful as a prophylactic drug to prevent the onset of COVID-19 and also successful in treatment during the initial stages of COVID-19. In the later to end stages of COVID-19 the drug seems to be not very or at all effective. As a side note, one of my big frustrations is with the WHO, headed by Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Director-General of the World Health Organization. In 2000, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in community health from the University of Nottingham for research investigating the effects of dams on the transmission of malaria in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. He is not a physician. He does have some education in infectious diseases. His two previous major positions were in Ethiopia. He and the WHO are temporarily halting its clinical trials that use hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 patients over published concerns that the drug may do more harm than good. My observations of Tedros Adhanom and the WHO is that their medical knowledge of COVID-19 and hydroxychloroquine are basically non-existent (and mostly political). I have zero confidence in their clinical trails. Note that some who object to this drug mention side effects. Many of you who have ever researched the side effects of even every day drugs know everything under the sun is listed as a side effect. Many drug companies list any possible side effects even by a single person to defend against lawsuits in the future. I list below the common published side effects of hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) and acetaminophen (Tylenol). Notice any similarities.? BTW: Don't Wiki hydroxychloroquine or you will see listed any and all horrible things that have happened to humans over the last 2,000 years. Hydroxychloroquine ----- Common side effects: headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, weight loss, nervousness, rash, itching, hair loss. Acetaminophen ---------- Common side effects: nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, itching, rash, headache, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice. FYI: rxlist.com --- In rare cases, acetaminophen may cause a severe skin reaction that can be fatal. This could occur even if you have taken acetaminophen in the past and had no reaction. You should get your doctor to write you a prescription for it if that’s what you want to do. I don’t know why you’re trying to convince everyone else to do it. I don't think Chuckie is trying to convince anyone to use it. He was a covid patient not too long ago. I believe he is trying to dispel the false narrative in the MSM about HCQ. Big Pharma would make no money on a pill that costs 36 cents and has no patent protections. It makes one wonder if its about the virus or something else.
