She’s 88 years old and still make it from scratch. Simmered for 8 hours a day for 4 days before it’s served to the public. Yes, I’m spoiled! LOL

Has anyone NOT experienced this? There is one thing I would add though... You may actually find that you WOULDN'T want the pretty ones shown in some of those ads. The plastic lettuce, wax shredded cheese, foam rolls, varnish, and other stuff they use to make some of those gorgeous burgers can really detract from the taste... (You also need to be really careful with the toothpicks, wire, and glue they're held together with.) I can’t recall the last time I’ve been to a fast food restaurant, years ago! No Hoagie!?!?😉🍻 My food and photos are 100% real! No wires, toothpicks or photoshop! I can barely post on the internet, I haven’t a clue about photoshop. Don’t know why my post is involved here but it’s not appropriated.

In my part of the country (N.E/MAsshole)a sub, submarine, hoagy, blimp, torpedo, grinder, hero, etc is all the same: a big sandwich on an Italian bread roll. Just the ingredients change.

Where I came from, A hoagie is a cold sandwich and a grinder is flash heated in an extremely hot oven. Same sandwich but heated to melt the cheese and toast the roll.. 😏

We have to say whether we want it hot or cold; doesn't matter if its called a sub or a grinder. Join us for more boring Fun Facts.
