I just ordered a pair. I'm more excited than my dog Jax waiting for a treat. I've been researching power amps for my 10 yr old B&W CM1 and I believe now they will be driven properly. Big step up from my Yamaha HTR-6090, which now will serve as a temporary Pre-amp until I learn more about pre/pro's.

Congrats and welcome to the lounge. As they arrive, try not to drool on the amps when they arrive.
By the way, if you didn't know, you will be greeted with blue Kool-Aid by Nick, the CEO of the Secret Monoblock society. Don't let him freak you out. He's kind of weird. Just don't tell him I told you so.

I've always been intrigued by the XPA-1L's and would probably have two of these for the fronts if I didn't already have an XPR-2. Congrats and do come back and tell what you think after you've had them for a spell.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I am setting up an 2.1 audio room in the basement, just a little piece of heaven on earth. is it advisable to run two separate 20 amp lines or can I run both amps using one 20 amp circuit? Should the amps be connected directly to the power outlet or to a power cleaner/protector.
I am neither confirming nor denying acknowledgement of receipt for application, paperwork, certificate nor inclusion into any MBSS. But I am drinking the Kool Aid!

The xpa-1l run of 15amp outlets so you dont have to put a 20 amp line. Emotiva recommends pluging them straight to the wall outlets. Welcome to the MBSS

Don't mean to high jack this thread, but I have a buddy interested in buying the 1l's and he is concerned as his speaker cables don't stretch across the rear of the amp. He called Emo and they don't have a work around and he doesn't want to destroy his kimber cables. Are you guys using jumper cables?
Thanks

I didn't see ones for spades, but actually spades work better for the xpa-1l as they open easier but that will depend on the specific cables that your friend has
