With xpr1 being discontinued and only so many being made, will this make the amps over time become a collector's for these amps

Not sure about collector value but I sure won't be selling mine anytime soon. if anyone thinks of selling theirs I'd be happy to buy another pair.

These are fantastic amps. They sound every bit as good as my ATI AT2007 multi-channel amp (7 channel true differential amp), but don't clip/distort on really dynamic songs due to their huge amounts of power reserves. Transients just sound real on them! There's also no hiss at the MLP, and only a very tiny bit of hiss with my ear into my tweeter and mid-range (horn speakers with a sensitivity of ~99dB/W at 1 meter). To the credit of the ATI AT2007, it was hard to ever hear distortion, but there was maybe 3 tracks/100 that did during peaks such as when piano keys were slammed.
I wouldn't settle for the other Emotiva amps personally as I believe the hiss would be more prevalent on my efficient speakers (in my well treated room) unless they run in true differential mode. The XPR-1's are totally awesome. Wish I'd have bought them years ago.

And like the XPA-1 was fully differentially Balanced too.

This is doubtful. They are pretty much the only amp in their class for under $8000/each unless I'm missing something? I mean honestly what could be improved? With 1750 watts into 4 ohm CONTINUOUS power, there is no other option that I've read about. The voltage rails are +/-75 volts too, so the PEAK power these massive things can supply must be insane.
I have my doubts that a switching power supply can provide the instantaneous power reserves like the power supply in these amps, but I haven't studied switching power supplies enough to know for sure... I think what it boils down to is they were expensive to ship, plus Emotiva couldn't sell them overseas (probably due to shipping cost).
If there was even one little issue upon receipt (scratch, led not working, etc) Emotiva would cover return shipping and send out a replacement or refund your money. One transaction like on the opposite coast and Emotiva probably is close to losing money on them even if the customer opts for a replacement would be my guess.
The more I listen to these amps the more impressed I am with them. Every day I find a peak on some track that was previously harsh, but isn't now as I'm no longer clipping. These amps make drums and peaks (e.g. door slams, piano key slams, etc...) sound so real in my well treated room it is scary.

Yep. I'm damn glad I bought mine. I don't think you'll see affordable amps with specs like these ever again.

In the spirit of free competition for $25k each ($50k total) I will personally drive and deliver them anywhere in the continental US in their original factory boxes and set them up for the buyer.

I'm very happy with my XPR-1's. I do hope they replace them with something as good or better! You may be interested that when Emotiva were trying to measure the maximum power fo the amps they couldn't on the 240V 20A circuits. They didn't have a resistor bank big enough so they had to order a new one! Other websites also had issues testing the main capabilties because their main power supply ran out and the voltage on the outlets sagged before their maximum capability was reached. I think they had to use a variac to keep the voltage steady. Now that's some serious power! The XPA-1 which is basically half the power of these maxed out at 1750 watts at 2 ohms before voltage sag on the 15 A line kicks in. www.audioholics.com/amplifier-reviews/emotiva-xpr1-amplifier/emotiva-xpr1-amplifier-measurementsAudioholics was able to measure 2200 watts output @ 4 ohms @ 1%THD on their XPR-1 before voltage line sag kicked in. So that was not even their limit at 4 ohms! I can only imagine what 2 ohm power was like.

The XPA-1 is one serious animal too it sounds like. Thanks for this! I feel much better about using a single 15 amp outlet for 2 XPR-1's with my efficient speakers I don't think I'll ever see voltage sag during transients (continuous load will never be as high as the test you link to). I've been meaning to hook a scope up to the outlet, but I'd expect to see no sag even during nasty transient peaks. This is doubtful. Which fans are those? I noticed having two XPR-2's and an XPR-1 in my rack even with 2U and 3U separation (rack unit (U) is ~1.75 inches), it gets pretty hot for amp at the top! I was thinking about making something or buying this guy for the 2U spots: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZQMP6ROMy small theater barely has room for these monster amps so I have to stack! Thanks! My Twins My fan units are the highly sought after Sherbourn C-12 units. I'm a huge "fan" of these,,,,, They are no longer manufactured, there was a pushto have Emotiva to bring them back into production, but to no avail!! This is a back and bottom viev of the units. Air movement is important with the XPR-1s, I believe its a must. The units you've posted should work fine, enjoy all of the sweet sound those amps help provide.
