It seems like XPR-2, the last of the XPR family, has now disappeared from the site. emotiva.com/products/emotiva/amplifiers-0Awesome amps, too bad they didn't get the attention they deserve. Mine is not going anywhere!

Glad I got mine when I could. While the topology might live on, the brute force of the Xpr line does not.

There's a guy trying to cash in on the discontinuance asking $3,800 for an XPR-5 on ebay. Humorous.

I am glad I purchased my 2 XPR amps when i did, they are a step above the xpa 2 amps for clarity, bass definition and sound staging.

With XPR line gone - I'm still trying to figure out the upgrade hierarchy. I'm running an XPA-5 Gen2 and XPA-2 Gen 1. With XPR, it was an upgrade thought. Now I can't piece together from what we've heard, what gear Emo has that is a natural progression for XPA owners.

Stuff three of the bridged 500w monoblocks in one and four regular 350w in another So now u go from 300 to 500 on mains and 200 to 350 on remaining all with this new 3300w power supply. This is their selling point but I agree they need a small niche XPR series

Yeah, that was the set up I was thinking but still leaves the question on performance compared to the XPR line. Would that be an improvement equal to or greater than the XPR line. Sure - all a matter of opinion and the only thing I could say right now is that "it's different" - and I'm sure others would say XPR wins out - no question. The XPR is a beast.

Just think about a million watt amplifier ! That would beat an XPR !
UPA amps do not have enough wattage output and not enough capacitance. They do not sound as good as the XPA amps.
XPA amps have more wattage output and more capacitance. They sound better than the UPA amps but not as good as the XPR amps.
SA amps have better power supply and ground lift switches for professionals. They sound better that XPA amps.
XPR amps have the most wattage output and the most capacitance. They sound better than all other Emotiva amps.
How can Emotiva make a better amp if they do not make it with bigger power supply, more wattage output and the more capacitance?
This must be a nightmare for Emotiva having just made a 1000 watt mono block that had to be sent on a pallet. Now they will have to make 200 lbs 2000 watt mono blocks and 100 lbs separate power supply to go with it or everyone here will think they are failures. If they do not they will scorned and punished until they are finally disgraced and put out of business.
Please be kind to Emotiva and let them make the amps they want to. It is such heavy burden for them. Can't you see what the Ring is doing to them !

Don't lose sight of the fact Emotiva stated they have 26 new products coming out. 16 have been announced. Do the math.
