I have the following equipment:
UMC-200 LPA-7 Sony Aquos Apple TV.
The goal is to use AppleTV remote to power on/off everything as its the only source device used currently. It can control UMC volume via IR, but power management is CEC only.
Right now its works fine to power everything off, but will not power the UMC-200 on. It will, however, power on the TV (Passing through the UMC-200). Any ideas as to why the UMC will not accept power on command?

Yes, someone please help on this one. I am having the same issue on the Fusion 8100. I would be in AV heaven if I could get this working. I've tried various combos of the HDMI-CEC options to no avail. I am noticing that when I manually power on the TV after the Apple TV has powered on the HDTV that the Fusion is no longer connected to the HDTV according to its HDMI control connection settings.
Would really love some insight. I hope the answer isn't Emersa.
In the meantime I'm having to use my Logitech Harmony remote which I would prefer not to use since the Apple TV touch control is so fast and includes the voice control mic.

HDMI cec can be flakey at times with proprietary methods[and names] between ce's . The 8100's close cousin the umc200 has a video on standby feature that you should check is off possibly . The 200 seeks out another hdmi input on auto and feeds that to the tv when in video standby mode if the order isnt maintained . I hope its something simple ; maybe a logic circuit or something in the 8100 resets things subsequent to this ;

I started a similar thread a while ago, and I've spent countless hours fiddling with it. emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/45332/experiences-hdmi-cec-umc-appleThe conclusion that I have come to is that the UMC-200 does not properly support CEC. This was common for A/V gear released around the time of the UMC-200. I have subsequently switched over to a Marantz NC-1506 that works almost flawlessly with CEC. My full setup currently is: - Apple TV - Marantz NC-1506 receiver - Marantz PM-8005 amp - Vizio M-series 65" 4K TV - Bowers & Wilkins 685 S2 speakers

I'm considering picking up a pair of the B&W 685 S1 or S2. Did you ever get to compare the two models before purchasing the S2?

I did not get to listen to the S1s, but I'm pretty satisfied with the S2s for their price.
