I think we'll be at the Hyatt, right Doug? I'll probably pass out in the landscaping in front of the emotiva building. Shrubs can be pretty comfy. This is the last I heard from Judd...that he booked us Friday through Sunday night at the Hyatt. |

I never knew that there is no open container law in MO. Verified this with my brother-in-law last night who is a lawyer with homeland security. This is awesome with as much time as I spend with friends in MO.
We may well need that bucket for Steve on the drive through MO!

Man, I wish I knew for sure whether or not I could come. My wife is already heading south to S. Indiana (where we are from) to visit the in-laws with the kiddo. Unfortunately my step-father & I have had plans to knock out some projects around my old house that weekend. Would reschedule but he extra vacation time to make it a 4 day weekend. Right now it looks like 1/2 sunny; 1/2 crappy rain. If the forecast changes to more rain, I will definitely grab him (a huge audiophile) and head the 2hrs to Nashville from back home. Better start doing my rain dance. . .  |

Count me in for Emofest! I'm an Emo newb, but I've been thoroughly impressed with the ERT-8.3s I bought off the Emporium a few weeks ago. Can't wait to see a demo of the UMC-1! I couldn't convince the wife to join me, but that just leaves more space for new gear. She even said I could buy whatever I want and drink as much beer as I can. Or at least, that's what I think I heard Looking forward to meeting all the rest of the Emo freaks this weekend! Old Jay |

I am ready for Emofest. I am looking forward to meeting all the folks on the forum who's comments make me laugh so often. I have been lurking here for over a year 5 or 6 times a day waiting for some news on the XMC. I am not yet an Emo customer as my system is set and all I need now is a killer dual sub set up and a new processor- and well, I think its pretty obvious why Im not a customer yet.  I am flying out from Chicago on wednesday night and I am hoping to meet some of you on friday and saturday night. I have been to both Buganut pig and the Saucer before- great places! Be sure to get your UFO card and your BeerKnurd t shirts. see you there! |

For all of those who are having trouble getting the group rates, I found out some information for you when I called to verify my reservation.
The reason no one is getting the group rates is because of 2 reasons. The first is the cut off date for this was on the 21st to get this rate. The second is that the amount of rooms that were set aside for the group have all been booked. This is how it was setup by the sales person at the hotel. I did ask how to get everyone the group rate. The lady told me that it is possible because there are still rooms in the hotel available. Also this should still work for those who already have reservations. You need to call 615-771-8900 option 5 and talk to the sales department. They have the ability to add rooms to group and may be able to give the group rate for those who have already booked a room. Hope this helps.

How much of a discount would you get with the group rate? I booked a room at one of the cheapo hotels to save a few bucks, but I'm wondering if it would be worth it to try to switch.

I am pretty sure that the discount only applies to the Hyatt... I got a PM from Emo stating that the Embassy Suites would only do a discount if the agreed to book 20 rooms or something like that. Either way, I am there. I was able to get the Government rate at Embassy, so hopefully that will save me a few bucks. I am so excited. 4 more days of work and counting.

Focusing on the dove hunt tomorrow...then my full attention turns to the Emofest the rest of the week.
I burnt some new music to the GPS for the road trip...hope Steve and Judd like 90's hairbands with a bunch of 80's songs mixed in ;D
