I predict the MC-700 will fly off the shelves, so hopefully Emotiva has a large stock of these from the get-go.

Sweet! I don't get the used market asking crazy prices for older models that are not HDCP2.2 compatible. Finally a reasonable priced pre/pro for budget friendly people.

Does it come with built in bluetooth or does it need a module?

I like the form factor a lot and how Emotiva is participating in the compact trend.
I find it so silly that some AVRs and Pro/Pros offer composite, component and, in some cases, S-Video inputs. Are there really people who still cherish their VHS and Laserdisc content?

Are there really people who still cherish their VHS and Laserdisc content? I personally prefer component video for my cable box. Not that it is better there is no signal lock delay when changing channels like thd same box with HMDI (direct to my TV). I could also see people with home movies still utilizing S-vhs, I still have a player although it is not hooked up.

Since cable is mostly 720p/1080i, I guess that actually makes a lot of sense. Even though the UMC-200 is speedy with switching, there is often lag.

Please refresh my memory. Is the single HDCP 2.2 input 300MHz or 600MHz? Looking forward, that could be important. Will wait for the specs before asking other questions as hopefully they will be addressed by that post.
Thanks

I Thought it was going to have 7.1 analog inputs like the umc-200.

Wow, that's a nice looking unit. Is there a chance that this has a tuner section? I don't see any hardware on the back for it.
although it wouldn't be the first time something was "built-in" and concealed nicely.
cheers!

I do believe I prefer the knob to the two up/down volume buttons. Ain't it purty?!!! It even has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The MC-700 looks like its geared toward the minimalist, 6 HDMI inputs/2 outputs(1 of these ARC enabled), 2 subwoofer outputs(1 RCA/1 XLR), Digital inputs(1 coax/1 opt/1 USB), IR in/out, 2 Analog inputs, 1 Trigger Out and an RS232. If I recall correctly from the PodCast, it has P-EQ on all 7 channels(not sure of how many filters/ch).

Can't wait for the official specs. From the photograph, looks like only HDMI input1 is HDCP 2.2 compliant.

Plenty to speculate on the HDMI front as you note on the labelling as this is what audioholics said Twice.com Ime inclined to think the emersa line will get multiple hdmi2.0a ports considering how the mc700 has an extra 6th hdmi input on the back panel that may be "a"... Ime sure clarification wont be long . Makes sense to give the emersa a bit more flexibility given the price point I reckon .

OK.... latest info. The BASX MC-700 has 6 HDMI inputs and 2 HDMI outputs. Of those, 2 INPUTS AND 1 OUTPUT are HDMI 2.0a/HDCP 2.2 (which means full 18 gB / support for everything up to HDR10). (The others are HDMI 1.4b). Please refresh my memory. Is the single HDCP 2.2 input 300MHz or 600MHz? Looking forward, that could be important.
