I just don't have room for more huge cabinets. Sorry, guess I'm just repeating myself from above. I'll shut up and be nice. Nothing at all wrong with repeating oneself.............. One does not put monoblocks in a rack (or a huge cabinet) one locates them next to their respective speakers utilising long XLR interconnects and very short speaker cables Cheers Gary monoblocs REALLY can take up space. And for the higher powered ones? You'd better have a bunch of dedicated circuits ready to go.

One poster here did some NCore DIY WALL MOUNT amps. Clean and didn't take much space at all.
For the Advanced DIY guy, only.

Nothing at all wrong with repeating oneself.............. What I meant is I don't have room for amps around the speakers in my little room. Tons of room, a 2 shelf unit with the centre speaker on it, then the TV on top, plenty of room for two mono blocks in the 2 shelf unit. With 1 metre speaker cables and the necessary length XLR connections from the rack to the power amps. That's how mine is arranged. Cheers Gary

Yeah, I could hang them from the ceiling on chains like my Bose 901s many many moons ago. They would look good hanging down to just about a foot above each of the PSA towers.

Just need to find a unit that will hold the PSA center with room for 2 "sizeable" places for large amps. The XMC-1, Oppo, and antique Samsung set top box need to fit in there also. I could just go ahead with 2 XPA-1s if I had that. I shudder to think what wifey will say when I tell her i need the second shelving/rack purchase this year.

I understand, I had a very similar discussion with the boss when I suggested it. "What! More stuff!". But when it was finished I think she understood why it was necessary and that it actually looks better and is more functional. I used the old "let's try it and if you don't like it I can return it" argument. Cheers Gary

I've learnt to use it very sparingly, about once every few years these days. Cheers Gary

While in college 77-80 I worked at a high end audio store. We were a McIntosh dealer. We had a gentleman who upgraded amps -preamps-tuners whenever McIntosh did. I remarked he has a understanding wife. With a straight face he said she thinks this is the same 12 year old equipment. As long as it says McIntosh & fit his rack she was not the wiser. He also bought a new more expensive cartridge yearly.

YOUR basic is somebody elses Advanced. Lot of folks here ask VERY basic questions about stuff ranging from fuse replacement to ground problems.
You did Aces on those amps and gave me an idea. A PAIR of NCore 400s in ONE box with a MiniDSP crossover to make an amp for Biamp duties.
