You could've gone Android. Their updates force you to buy a whole new device.

Ridiculous - which IT guy in the world couldn't Apple "buy" if it thought they had anything to contribute?
Get real, the B players are over at Microsoft.......

They always were, if we're talking about the tech people. Now their marketing people are also the B team.

Next thing we know you guys will tell us the best phones are powered with tubes. Little hard to fit in your pocket and they get a little warm but they definitely sound the best!

Yes, Apple leads the phone world (thanks mostly to Samsung's battery fiasco), but the phone world is ever changing. Next month, the tide may shift again.
In the computer world, though, Apple seems determined to walk away from their business market. There have been no significant changes the their Mac products other than speed increases, while Microsoft is innovating in ways that bring market share - tablets with touch screens & serious processors & RAM - improvements in the server market products - etc.
It seems that Apple has decided to abdicate their foothold in the business market and let Microsoft / IBM have it by default.
I own a 2009 MacBook Pro business computer with a 17" matte screen. I need it due to my eyesight and due to the fact that the matte screen doesn't glare at me if I'm given a location at the client's place with significant backlighting. I don't get to control such things, yet I've got to work long hours despite any impediments.
I'm trying to extend the life of that computer by switching from 4 to 8 Gigs of RAM (the most my machine will take) and by switching from the 500 GB Hitachi hard drive to a 1 TB SSD drive. But those are stopgap measures that will work but for another few years.
I'd happily buy a new MacBook, but they no longer offer 17" screens AND they no longer offer matte screen finishes. If they can't sell me the product I need, then they've lost me as a customer.
Pay attention to that last sentence - It has implications beyond the world of computers...
But I digress - Unless Apple changes their product line to recognize those of us who are no longer 17 years old, they stand to lose some business. Perhaps they make enough on phones & watches that they no longer care? But I'd be first in line for a MacBook Pro with a 19 to 21 inch screen in a matte finish.
Sigh...

I've only had iOS 10 for a couple days and am just starting to learn the new features, so far I'm liking it.

BTW - HUGE fail in iOS 10 - Apple removed the "Trash All" from the mail app, meaning I'd have to click on 200 spam e-mails to remove them all.
I deleted my mail account and am back to using my Outlook on my PC with a good spam filter.

I used to do that before iOS 9, and it only works 10% of the time.

I used to do that before iOS 9, and it only works 10% of the time. I'm sure after reading many complaints about trash all, that they will bring it back, but in a more controlled fashion. Curious why it's not done like photos in apple......trashed photos are recoverable automatically for 29 days, as you are most likely aware. Bill
