As mentioned in the latest podcast, we might have the RMC-1 available by summer's end. I've been saving my money back for over 6 months now, and the timing will work out perfect in that regard. Of course, if it takes a little longer, I'll just keep waiting. I'm anxiously looking forward to it!

And so, will the new XA Gen3 Double-Wide Monoblock modules be the equivalent of an "RPA" for the RMC-1?

Next time unplug it first and your eyes won't bug out like that. He touched it after petting the dogs on his desk and zapped the boards. Time for rev 2..

The hardware looks fairly complete, so do we assume that software is still waiting to be completed. I don't think either the XMC-1 v3 nor RMC-1 were demoed at Axpona

That's pretty much in line with what I was guessing. Was there any talk of the XMC-2?

Wasn't the consensus that it was only going to support 4 overhead channels (ala Atmos 9.3.4)?

I'm penciling together my new basement HT build that'll be happening around January of next year. The RMC-1 seems like a no-brainer for my ideal setup at this point.

I think the XMC-1 was demoed at a show or two a very long time before it was delivered [without Dirac].
I'll pick up some powerball tickets before I make any plans around an Emotiva product that isn't currently shipping off the web site.

The problem is in the software implementation as has been widely stated. Other ID manufacturers (e.g. Outlaw Audio) are running into the same deal and can be frustrating for any company as it translates into lost potential sales. This is not the same as the release issues they were having with the XMC-1 which were more related in developing a platform for everything else to launch from. That being said, I would be surprised if the release is before the end of this year.
As for 7.2.6, etc, etc, remember the source material needs to be coded for it in the first place; otherwise one needs an external DSP to split the signal into the additional speakers.
