My Pioneer av has been pretty much very reliable but I would like to try one of the Emo processors. The Pioneer is big and heavy.

I have no room for all except to relegate the Belles to the kids' game room. The one pair of Belles are up for sale but with the wood work, crossovers and Volti mid horns and drivers they are rather expensive. Here is a shot of them with the veneer done awaiting install of the innards. Due to space constraints I will probably be letting go of one of my cherry PSA VS30se subs (might even bundle with the Belles. Rather than clobber this, you can see a lot of photos on the Klipsch forum in the garage sale thread. Attachments:

My purchase / upgrade plans for 2017: - Once available, the DTS:X and Atmos upgrade for my XMC-1
- Amp(s), speakers, cables, etc. for above upgrade
- An additional amp for sub duties
- New home with space for a dedicated room, you know, priorities

My right knee!
I'm bone-on-bone in the medial compartment and the pain is getting worse. May need to succumb and get the knee replaced. I have a very good ortho and he's prolonged the inevitable for a while now.
Sign of a misspent youth - I played soccer, rugby and cricket. A lot.

Finally getting the back yard patio and landscape done. Replace the noisy mini-split in my theater. Finish building DIY main speakers and AT screen with powered masking. See what EMO springs on us with the XMC-2. It might be just what the doctor ordered (along with ceiling speakers and more amps). Ikea chairs and a new area rug for the theater.

If that's a misspent youth - that sounds like a pretty good time! I think knee replacements have come a long way. My father in law could barely walk before he got new knees..

Not much if anything as I seem to have gotten it all done this year.
Love the glow.

If, heaven forbid, there isn no Emofest next year then I'll be upgrading the panel for 4K HDR and an Oppo 203, for video output from the 203 I'll go straight to the panel with the audio output going to the UMC-200. I'll not even consider a 205 as I am not a fan of the previous Oppo Sabre DAC implementations so I suspect that I won't like the 205 implementation either.
Happy New Year Gary

Boomzilla. What would a "fully featured" streamer need to have for you? Mark

Hi klinemj - If I'm to pay for a streamer, I want ALL of the following: Ability to use external USB storage drives Ability to read ANY disc format, including FAT, EXFAT, NTFS, and OS-X Ability to play ANY file format, including WAV, FLAC, MP3, MQA, ALE, and any compressed / lossy / future formats Easy to use and highly reliable ripping function using digital input from any disc player Ability to query internet databases for metadata & cover art automatically Ability to encode any format desired RELIABLE external database for metadata & cover art Ability to receive media streams from DLNA over Ethernet, optical TOSLINK, Coaxial digital, USB, 802.x wireless, and Bluetooth Top quality DAC included with digital outputs should I opt to use an external DAC Top quality analog volume control with remote (both dedicated remote and control from app) Robust, audiophile-quality analog output (pre)amplifiers with both balanced and unbalanced connectors Graphical interface for tablets / phones with voice-actuated search function & remote volume control Ability to automatically backup to internet and to designated external drives Sturdy & trouble-free internal OS If a streamer lacks any of these features, then I'm better off just using my current server computer & Oppo as a receiver.

While I may have plans, I've often times in the past had run-ins with a person named Murphy. His damn law seems to pop up when one least expects it, so I'm always on the lookout for him.
