For the towers it's likely a combination of the midwoofer keeping it's smaller size(now with more empty cabinet surrounding it) while the woofer increased in size. This makes the top portion not look quite right because the proportions are further accentuated by the cutouts under the midwoofer serving as some type of corset. Overall I don't consider them to look outrageously bad, and I bet they sound great.

Ah well pictures may not do it justice. This is what I've been waiting for. But yeah the mid woofer baffle looks a little fat because it's trying to keep the same proportion. Maybe it sounds better.

I would preferred a more classic approach but i think big Dan wanted them to be different.

My prediction is that with a compliment of T2, C2, and E2 loudspeakers plus Airmotiv subs in a typical living room that have been treated with Dirac from the XMC or RMC and proper amplification, will perform as well or better than anything you can throw tons of money at.

That shot was taken with a wide angle lens and things on the edges are distorted making them looking wider than they really are. See the way the tops are angled upward from inside to outside while the bottoms do just the opposite? Very distorted and not likely indicative of what they really look like. I know the T1s look much better in person than they do in that shot. I'm looking forward to the studio shots.

I´m not a fan of EMO speakers, even though they could sound fine (among the standard nothing out of this world) I believe EMOTIVA is world wide better known for their excellent amplifiers and processors. regarding the fat speakers design, EMOTIVA has never been awarded with the excellence in design certificate, let´s say. Their amplifiers look like an old big hat box,

I have faith that they sound pretty darn good if Rory had a hand.
I care much more about how they sound than look.... but part of that is because you can spend a fortune on cosmetics and they won't sound any better!

How big are those E2 surrounds? Looks like a replacement for the ERD-1s.

I would love to update my B&W's.... one of the things I really like about my center channel is it has threaded holes on the bottom so I can bolt it to a stand. Hope emotiva does something like this for the C2 - or even come out with a matching stand for it!

Mark I don't think that the "old" speakers like the 8.3 share anything in common with the new speakers that have AMT drivers -- like the Stealth and the newly unreleased ones. Is that correct? I've only heard the Stealth 8s and loved them.

I was just wondering if he was not a fan if he had heard any. I have heard them and I love them! Their ERD-1 surrounds are great, as were the others I mentioned. And I really like my Airmotiv 3b's. They do look kind of not too eye pleasing. However, my speakers are just a flat panel, literally, so I am not to concern about beauty.

This. Say what you want about the look but these things sound fantastic and ultimately that is what matters. The little brothers (T1, C1, E1) sound fantastic and the new guys are those with a lot more muscle.
