Yup...when I inquired in late November about the MC700 the President of sales said if I wanted to get in on the first shipment I should buy now and that the units were going to ship prior to 12/30. That didnt happen but its all good now but it made me feel a little deceived. I was also told by her that the black trim pieces would not fit on my LPA. I called the production folks and they told me otherwise. Who is the President of sales? How many she's are in the sales department? |

Who is the President of sales? How many she's are in the sales department? I thought it was Cathy but I have no idea how many females are in the sales department. Turns out she is "Vice President" of Emotiva per the copy of the e-mail just posted by Harlan. |

I called the production folks and they told me otherwise. Many of us, I believe, place a certain amount of trust in a company that produces good products. Given all that, I think customer service is a bigger factor when it comes to passing on recommendations to friends and family. There are some things enthusiasts will put up with, even grudgingly, but not pass on to others. In my own experience I have been more impressed with how some companies resolve issues when things go wrong, and things do go wrong. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect clear communication and accountability. I don't think my expectations are unreasonable. |

Received a tracking number this afternoon for my MC-700. Here is the overall order timeline that I experienced:
1/25 - reserved unit online, received follow-up email shortly after
1/27 - provided credit card information to Emotiva by phone
2/24 - credit card charged
3/10 - received UPS shipping notice
3/15 - scheduled delivery
Looking forward to hooking it up and putting it through the paces ...

Before anyone complains about the owners manual looking "cheap", please know that this is a temporary manual. We made some edits and corrections and dumped the original manual and then made a quick copy for you to use right away. All MC-700 owners will receive a "pretty" manual in a couple of weeks via USPS. When you do get it, can you check the firmware version and report back what yours has? I'm curious if it's different than the original version. Really loving mine after I switched to 4k cables; you are in for a real treat. |
