Does one need credentials to attend?
Two sides of the coin with whether or not you need money., but I will say unless you have some connections "hemster" is correct.
When I worked for the airlines I flew free. My fellow audio/video enthutheist went with me and we had a "BLAST"!
Flying free and we both had timeshares in Vegas. For some years we alternated timeshares.
HOME THEATER MAGAZINE was one of the many sponsors. My friend started a small business (which was short lived) in designing and constructing HOME THEATER rooms in our area. It was tough to establish oneself. The short story is we drew on the small expertise we DID have and entered the show FREE as business owners. It allowed us to partake in some of the special events without paying.
The show I remember having one of the best times was in LAX.
HP was fantastic, the pool party flowing with wine, women and song while a moderator was announcing awards. This was one thing where we were able to attain access.
Let me make this clear. The woman were PROFESSIONALS, and I am not talking about anything other than reviewers from audio and video magazines as well as representing products at the CES show.
So for myself and my friend, flew for free from the east coast, stay at a timeshare. And for two and a half days ate free for a lot of our meals.
Now times have changed.
No free flying for me and that is a BIG CHUNK OF CHANGE when the CES SHOW is going on.
If you have the opportunity to go....GO! It's amazing! The innovation in this country...the people who think your dreams and are making it a reality.
This truly is a GREAT COUNTRY!
