I currently own two of the Gen 3 XPAs, the idea was to be able to add channels as I needed to the second on. Now with the Stereo blades, that is plenty to run ceiling object speakers, so I could run wides and rears on 4 channels and 4-6 ceiling speakers with 2-3 stereo blades....this is perfect. I have my three front channels running off XPR-1s, yes it's overkill but why not lol.
The question is if we swap out a 300w blade currently there with a stereo blade, what is the cost? Also, is anyone looking for a brand new Gen 3(Currently 2 channel) still new in the box(bought for expansion).....Emotiva is doing good things!

A few more questions.
1. There has been a lot of talk about each DW being 600 watt balanced mono. Do we know 600 is actually the figure? Is that official? When numbers actually got released on the Gen 3 single blade amps, the numbers were slightly different that previously discussed.
2. And just because each blade is capable of 600 (or what ever the real number is), won't adding blades make each go down some just like with the single wide blades? For example:
XPA-1m - $1199.00 - 600 watt balanced mono
XPA-2m - $1599.00 - 575? watt per channel, balanced mono x2
XPA-3m - $1999.00 - 550? watt per channel, balanced mono x3

If you wanted to really know when they will be released you would have ask about it and got a solid answer here. I wonder about the wisdom of 3x600 in a single chassis with one PS.
At the very least, the amp should require a 20 amp service AND come equipped with a 12ga power cord and 20 amp IEC connector.
