Every single time this subject comes up the one thing that SHOULD (but NEVER does) put it to rest, is the reason we use the things in the first place.
That is, to bridge the physical distance from POINT A TO PONT B......(and that's all).
.......That being accomplished with the proper resistance for that particular application.
After that the reason dwarfs into something escoteric and all the never ending nonsense ensues.
.......and so it goes......on and on and on, with nothing left but an empty pocketbook.

You might as well make the thread title "I can see dead people."
I know the OP was trying to be funny but then you wind up with the same old arguments between those who claim to hear differences versus those who say otherwise. But if someone says they can hear a difference, then why should anyone else care? How exactly does that affect anyone else?

I know the OP was trying to be funny but then you wind up with the same old arguments between those who claim to hear differences versus those who say otherwise. But if someone says they can hear a difference, then why should anyone else care? How exactly does that affect anyone else? I know certain connectors can alter sound...example I've purchased some heavy duty banana plugs from parts express and they screwed up my sound so badly that I removed them completely from my 10 gauge copper wires...really really bad in destroying my base frequencies and overall imaging. |

I used to be in the camp that speaker wires don't impact the sound. I've found that not to be 100% true.
My Magnepan MMG's sound muffled and lack treble when I use a pair of 3 foot snakes I got from AudioQuest to my monoblocks versus the speaker cables I have from Emotiva.
I also replicated it on a different 2 other systems in the house.
Now the difference between the emotiva cables vs my in-wall cables I don't notice much.

Mystery solved. |

She reads peoples future for an income. I have tried to tell her it is wrong but she will not budge. She see's dead people is was she says to me. She takes fuzzy pictures and says they are spirits. She's my little sister so I stopped saying any more to her. What can you do ? |
