I used to be in the camp that speaker wires don't impact the sound. I've found that not to be 100% true. My Magnepan MMG's sound muffled and lack treble when I use a pair of 3 foot snakes I got from AudioQuest to my monoblocks versus the speaker cables I have from Emotiva. I also replicated it on a different 2 other systems in the house. Now the difference between the emotiva cables vs my in-wall cables I don't notice much. my .02 Well there's your problem right there - those AudioQuest cables are so good that they make your MMG's sound like they really are, which is muffled and lacking in treble, whereas the Emo cables are coloring the sound to make it seem like the MMG's are really better than they are. Mystery solved. How dare you! I cannot believe you would speak so highly of AudioQuest cables on the Emotiva Lounge! Shame shame shame!!! I like the color of the Emotiva cables better lol

Do these dead people flow through your cables? Directional cables, I assume... Monku, my little sister is a psychic. I Schiit you not. She reads peoples future for an income. I have tried to tell her it is wrong but she will not budge. She see's dead people is was she says to me. She takes fuzzy pictures and says they are spirits. She's my little sister so I stopped saying any more to her. What can you do ? Encourage her to be an audio cable sales rep? At least that will "legitimize" her unfortunate pursuit.

">I removed them completely from my 10 gauge copper wires..." 10 gauge!?! Resistance is no problem for you certainly. Bill I wanted to try some heavy gauge wire from home depot for $.97 a foot...all they had was some heavily jacketed outdoor lighting wire in the 10 gauge variety. The copper looked pure so I tried some...its been in my system ever since and works really good...not bad for Speaker wire at less than $10 per side.

Ha ha...Yes! I also thought about how nice it would be for wireless loudspeakers to debunk the wire myths. You had me go to the web for an update on where we stand presently with the technology. in a nutshell, still not ready for critical listening....though there are a limited number of complete wireless systems out there. I didn't get too deep into this yet, but here's one major drawback. The latest high Rez. Audio and HD master audio formats will not fly wireless, yet. Hopefully by the time this debate is ready for prime time, I'll be too old to care. Bill

Home Depot also supplied me, but 12 gauge, Carroll Wire, about the same price for a pair of 30 foot runs for the rears.

The sad thing is your prediction will come to pass! You KNOW that there will be snake air people out there touting the benefits of organic air, cryogenic air, etc., and people who live in Denver will be saying the sound there is different from the sound in a sea level place like Los Angeles. But then someone will come out with a great product to correct for all of that: speaker wire.

My tinfoil hat does wonders for me in blocking out the cosmic rays...it helps me audibly process things in my mind better... :>)
