Seit Jahren arbeite ich heimlich an den neuen Bowers & Wilkin 802D4 Lautsprechern. Sie sind gerade fertig. Ich hoffe für sie, dass die Marke Emotiva bis Schnupftabak ist.

You WILL notice a difference if you change from an inadequate wire gauge.

Thick wire (12 or 14 gauge) is recommended for long wire runs, high power applications, and low-impedance speakers (4 or 6 ohms). For relatively short runs (less than 50 feet) to 8 ohm speakers, 16 gauge wire will usually do just fine.
Otherwise FUBAR! IMO
GREAT VIDEO! Had seen it before but enjoyed it again.

The only difference I can hear is when I drop the different speaker cables I have on my wood floor. They most certainly sound different to me, as the outer coverings have different thicknesses, thus the different sound when striking the wood floor.

If he heard a difference was because he had speaker wire in his ear, lol....

I've tried listening to at least 100 different speaker cables. They all sound exactly the same when I stuff them into my ears.

I've tried listening to at least 100 different speaker cables. They all sound exactly the same when I stuff them into my ears. I agree with you Djohn. I have sampled many cables at home and at Home audio shows. I first purchased high end cables back in 2003-04. MIT Terminator 2 cables. They were replacing Monster cables which were purchased at the opening of my home theater. Since that time I have tried many cables. One brand which I am sure many here have heard of was Morrow cables. Quite different in that they are very light, not bulky, and except for there price one could think that they are cheaply made. I and not bashing anyone that has Morrow cables or the Company itself. This is my personal opinion. Despite my seemingly crictsism of this cable I DID like the new the design....light and unsuspecting. No complaints about the performance but I heard no difference between them, monster or the MIT's and the comparison testing was not done by myself single handedly. I had two witnesses and we all agreed. Today while I try to buy AMERICAN I subcumbed to purchasing NAKAMICHI speaker cables. Since I am using the same speakers for HT and 2channel stereo I needed 2pairs. They are well made inside and out with a good warranty, good reviews and no questions ask returns. I will say that the only cables that I have not heard and compared are silver cables that makes me curious but as of this writing the idea that cables can make a system so much better than what it is can be labeled as snakeoil. Caveat emptor..."let the buyer beware" One last thing I feel is worth mentioning. While at the Capital audio fest last year I witnessed a demo of a NEW series Salk speaker. The name of the cables escape me but I remember them. There appearance was stunning, shocking may be a better word. They were at least an 1.5-2" thick braided cable///each cable had that thickness giving a total circumference of anywhere between 3-4" and they were expensive as hell. The Salk speakers sounded pristine...I would have bought them except Jim Salk said the speakers were still in the experimental stage and they may never make it to production. Frankly, I did not see the point of having a new speaker at an audio show that may never go into production. As far as I know they never did make it to market. The main point however is the how eccentric companies are with cables and outrageous prices. Salk was NOT the manufacturer of the cables. I still think SALK is a very formidable speaker company with outstanding products.

Actually I can hear differences between cables in my system. If a tree falls in a forest does it make a sound if no one is present. ANSWER-yes

Actually I can hear differences between cables in my system. If a tree falls in a forest does it make a sound if no one is present. ANSWER-yes V, if you hear the difference in sound based on your cables that is all that matters. My listening tools are 66 years old and probably have some damage due to the early days of R&R. That said, My ears are not to the point of NOT noticing differences in sound due to room acoustics and speaker placement. Those two factors alone TO ME are more important than spending money on esoteric speakers cables. THAT SAID, everyone has a favorite flavored ice cream.

I KNEW (sooner or later) poking some fun (great video!!) would fall back into the never ending "spirited" debate! I can't go there this morning until I finish my morning Joe.
