Eminent Technology's TRW-17 is the answer. Output down to 1 Hz. Only about $22,000-26,000. Anything less makes you a chump! I've seen these setups online and you basically need another room to build it in that attaches to your listening area. Impressive though!

So, a chump I'll be... No wall / ceiling defacement since we may sell this house. No 150 pound plus boxes either.
Maybe the PowerSound XS-15. No - it won't go as low as I'd wish (without equalization...) but it's affordable (compared to the $2,500 boxes y'all recommend.
Perhaps a ⅓ octave equalizer that specializes in the lower octaves or a programmable parametric equalizer would provide the same results (although with higher distortion) than a purely acoustic solution?
We'll see...

And garbulky PM'd me that maybe a touch of EQ could get my PSA XV-15s down by about 5 more Hz. Since I don't tax the plate amps with the volumes I listen at, perhaps that slight EQ (say +3 dB @ 20 Hz) would provide what I'm missing without further ado. But to do that, I'd need a parametric equalizer (probably software based & added in as a jRiver app) with a high Q. I don't want to be boosting 10 Hz or I'll just flap the (now port-unloaded) cones of the subs. Hmmm....

I'm using one in my HT and it really brings the goods in terms of low notes. Incredible bang for the buck. Scott

I am not a specs person but the absolute best sub on the planet is the JL Audio Gothan V2.The Gotham has a reported frequency response of 19-200Hz and has a built-in amplifier that is capable of 3,800 peak watts RMS.
If you have heard one set up properly all others are non contendors. That goes for the F113 and 213 models as well

Room's about 15 x 25 x 9 tall give or take some inches or a foot in any direction.
Room is vented at all four corners to other spaces.
Room is treated with absorber panels.
Room can be overloaded in the midrange before it gets overloaded in the bass.
No apparent standing wave issues in the bass due to corner venting.
Room is a multi-purpose living room / listening room / movie room.
My preferences are for lower-volumes.
Associated equipment:
Oppo BDP-105 used as Ethernet DLNA streamer and sometimes as DAC (can also be used as bass management)
Emotiva PT-100 preamplifier
Crown PSA-2 power amplifier (300+ WPC solid-state)
VTA ST-120 power amplifier (60+ WPC tubes)
Heathkit 12 WPC mono amplifiers
Furman surge suppressor
Emotiva CMX-6 power conditioner
RANE electronic crossover (available but not yet tried)
Interconnects by BlueJeans, Audioquest, and others
Speaker wires by BlueJeans, Nordost, Straight-Wire, and others
PowerSound Audio XV-15 subwoofers (2)
KEF LS50 speakers with stands
Tekton Pendragon speakers

There are MANY great solutions out there, including my current favorites from Power Sound Audio, but none will give you usable 20Hz or lower in room unless you go BIG.

By the way, if you did decide to install and Eminent rotary woofer, realize you'll not only need the proper space to install it IB you'll still need conventional subwoofers as it has a high frequency capability to only approx. 30Hz.

Do not have a house where I can let large amounts of vibrations violently disturb everything within a half mile radius. If I did it would be the above JL Audio Gothan V2. along with the CR-1 Active Subwoofer Crossover. Low frequencies need to be accurate. They need to blend with the whole of the sound. I bet way too many systems have inaccurate bass that is overkill for there satellite's. www.jlaudio.com/cr-1-home-audio-subwoofer-crossovers-96020

Yep - I admire the JL audio home subs. But a Gotham (or a CR1) isn't in my immediate future. In fact, my smarter half is encouraging me to try an inexpensive ⅓ octave equalizer (on the sub-feed only). She may well have a point. If I can get "feel-it" bass from my existing two XV-15 subs, then why bother with anything else?
I'll try her suggestion first, and if it doesn't do the trick, then off to the "other options" box.

No - I don't want the furniture to vibrate - I want to feel pressure waves in my chest.

"Chest thump" happens around 70-80Hz.
