Back on the Tom Cruise tangent. I did see Oblivion and liked it. Also The Last Samurai is a big favorite in our house.
I realized why I haven't seen any of his recent movies.. they just didn't seem compelling. Got sick of the mission impossible franchise. Valkyrie looked good.

His last MI movie was good and the Extra discs that came with it were phenomenal! He does all his own stunts! Hes crazy, I promise you! I wouldn't do half the Schiit he does!! He is a perfectionist when it comes to the action in his movies. Im not a groupie of any anybody but this guy has earned respect in the stunt field.

I showed the trailer to my better half tonight, trying to entice her in going to see it.
As soon as she saw there is also Chris Pine in it, she made up her mind... We are going this Friday.
Eye candies for everyone :-)

I saw it with the wife and kids (12 yo boy and 10 yo girl) and everyone loved it. My wife cried during the no man's land scene, which apparently is a common reaction for women. I'd call Wonder Woman achingly beautiful. We're primarily a Marvel family, but this film captured the humor of the Marvel Studios productions that DC movies previously lacked (in my limited experience with them) and was not saturated with over-the-top action like recent Marvel productions.
One pet peeve--the leading actor didn't even try for a British accent (unless I missed it and he was supposed to be an American working for the UK).

Just got home from watching it with wife and kids. Typical superhero movies, good for a Friday night. Action, feel good morale, good guys (and gals) winning over bad guys, a sprinkle of romance. What was not to like?
Loved the first few minutes, never seen such a high concentration of butt-kicking women :-)
Beside the unquestionable Gal Gadot charm, Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen were also quite something.
Chris Pine and his typical rascal face just rounded it off for the ladies. :-)
As it often happens lately, a "broad spectrum", catch them all movie.
