Who will be the first kid on the block with a new set of these ? I think there should be a lucky winner here that gets a free pair of these big boys from Emotiva. Maybe a contest like on the radio station !

One thing I'm curious about is why the larger 32 x 60mm Airmotiv folded ribbon tweeter wasn't used on the larger T2 tower ? would it not play better with those larger woofers, as in can the smaller one keep up with those 8" woofers, I'm not a speaker designer in any shape or form so it's just a question and not a gripe Chad

Anyone notice how the T2 is like the Martin Logan Motion 60XT Dual 8" 3-Way Floor standing Speaker ? .25” x 2.4” (3.2cm x 6.1cm) Folded Motion Transducer with 4.5” x 2.75” (11.4cm x 7cm) diaphragm. 6.5” (16.5cm) aluminum cone with cast polymer basket. Sealed chamber format. Rigid structured dust cap to reduce cone break-up modes. Two 8” (20.3cm) aluminum cone with cast aluminum basket. Non-resonant asymmetrical chamber format. Rigid structured dust cap to reduce cone break-up modes.

I figure if it did not work with this design then they would have used the larger one that is on the Stealth 8. Must work good is all I can figure.

The advantage to a larger diaphragm AMT tweeter is it can reproduce lower into the frequency spectrum. In a 3-way design with a 3.2KHz Xover that's not necessary. The smaller AMT makes great sense - and probably has better dispersion characteristics.

See what do I know, well what I do know is all I do is listen to the music haha, or maybe they're gonna go with a dual 18 tower called the T36 muhahaha. Also it makes me wonder why my Chane A5rx-c towers have a larger Leaf Panel Tweeter given they are a three way five driver tower, but like I said I just listen and my Chanes sound wonderful Chad

A "flat panel leaf tweeter" is s planer magnetic, it is not an AMT driver. Different species.

Not to beat a dead horse, but a nice real wood veneer would be incentive for me to give these a try (Yes, even at a premium cost). As is, they are way too "phugly" to be seen in my house!

A "flat panel leaf tweeter" is s planer magnetic, it is not an AMT driver. Different species. Isn't a "leaf" tweeter, the same as a Ribbon tweeter? Planar magnetic tweeters are much different as the film surface has a conductor etched, or applied to the non-conductive surface. The leaf or ribbon tweeter passes current directly to the conductive membrane.
