I decided to move the Idle Power measurements here so they would be more visible and encourage everyone to measure and post their amp(s) and other devices. As people add their measurements to this thread, I will update this post so all the data is in one place, I’ll also update manufacturers’ specs or reviews as we run across them. While we’ll highlight amps, measurements from other Audio/HT gear is welcome too. I really want to focus on measurements in this thread, but discussion and questions are also welcome -- as long as it relates to idle power and/or measurements.
This thread also has some thoughts on the topic

I’m really hoping we can fill out the Emotiva section below, to encourage everyone I’m putting place holders for all the amps so you can easily see what we have and don’t have. I’ll fill in more as time allows, and might need help with the older gear.
A Kill-a-Watt (KAW) meter is generally the easiest and least expensive way to measure, but if you have other methods you could tell us how you did it. I’m not ignoring efficiency, we just don’t have an easy way to measure it. It’s also been mentioned that you may be able to ‘check out’ a KAW at your local library.
If you’re unsure how to take the idle reading:
1) plug the amp or other device into the KAW
2) turn on the power without applying any signal (turn the volume all the way down)
3) Wait a few minutes for the device to stabilize, 5 -10 min for a tube amb
4) Take a Wattage reading on the KAW
5) For extra credit take a voltage and power factor reading at the same time
6) Post the Make, Model, and readings in this thread.
Edit: I have also started to use the ‘Eve Energy’ Smart Plug, which besides switching, measures power that can be read from an App, I’ll note when this is the data source.
