It came this morning. It's been playing 6 hours. In a nutshell it's stunning! Talk about dynamics and speaker control! Testing is continuing but Emotiva has a winner here. I'm keeping it. More to come in a few days.

It's so strange. I'm pretty sure I ordered on the first day they were on the website using Amazonpay. I got a message from Emo this Thursday saying the order was completed. I then got a shipping notification from UPS saying it was scheduled for delivery today. It came at 10 this morning. I didn't think I was the first to order. I notice it still says shipping on the 15th on the product page. Maybe they got tired of my bitching about it not being available. anyway I owe the Emo crew an apology for doubting them. This thing exceeds everything Dan and Keith said it would be. Dead silent background, super dynamics, and power forever. I've never heard clearer highs. I am very thrilled with it. It's worth more than they're charging.
It replaced a pair of XPA-1Ls.

I wonder if anybody else received their DR amplifier or shipping notification? I cannot hardly wait till Monday to call Emotiva to check what happened to my pre-order that I also placed on the first day they were put on the web-site. Maybe Dan or someone from Emotiva can chime in!
This is worse than being a kid waiting for Christmas morning...

It's driving MTM 210T towers from www.powersoundaudio.com/ They are very efficient speakers but the difference in before and after amps is obvious. Unfortunately my only experience with the two you note was a short time hearing XPA-1s playing and none with XPRs. |

Just curious, what are your center and rear & side surrounds? Do you find you need subwoofers with the 210T’s for 2 channel listening since they only go down to 60Hz?

My center is a PSA MTM 210C which is their companion center speaker. It is the same basic speaker as the tower in a slightly shorter cabinet (turned sideways of course). None of these speakers is ported as PSA expects that their customers will be using subs. However the towers actually respond well into the 30-35 Hz range and sound great with a slight equalizer boost in this range and no subs. I use 2 PSA S1500 sealed subs usually with mine but I've run them some without. My side surrounds and rears are a legacy from my Polk days: Polk FXiA4s Bipole surrounds. Rears are Polk TSi 100s. |

Sorta disappointed after anticipating the good news I was first told on the phone.

I'd bet it's due to their CES effort and they probably didn't remember it and factor that in when they spoke to you. Hang in there.
