Did you rerun any room correction you may have ran before installing the panels. Chad Yes I did re-run it on Friday night. Nice room and beautiful family BTW. My recommendation to you is to place a diffusior on the back wall instead of what looks to be an absorber? You can get really carried away with room treatment and make things look ugly, but sounding great. In the end, it may not make much of a difference sonically to you. Also, room treatments are meaningless unless you can at least measure the difference before and after via a waterfall graph for example. So don't get too wrapped up in treating the room. These days, all our "room treatments" involve absorbers and diffusiors on the walls to be covered with fabric. As for the 4K projector, I'm glad you're holding off for now as current technology does not do UHD justice on a projection system. Consider changing out the Mirage speakers in the future to some offerings from Emotiva, SVS, or Chane. The cost is nominal but the performance and difference in sound will far exceed any "treatment" you can hang on a wall.

Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedHere is the DR-2, installed it last night. Started out seeming fairly bright, but after playing some records for a few hours today it seems like it is starting to maybe mellow out. Played some Zep on it and it was so clean. Average dB was about 98 and as clear as you could ask for.

So I have been playing with the DR-2 and comparing it with my XPA-2 the differences are small but noticeable. First of all I can't even come close to making the DR-2 have any distortion, even playing my mains at 105Db it is so clear it is insane. In reality I don't know if it is that much better than my XPA-2, maybe 5% better or so. Honestly that is what is to be expected out of it though. It is a step up from the XPA-2, but not a game changer like going from an AVR to a XPA-2 level amp.
One thing for sure is that Audyssey is not good for 2 channel music. I spent most of my time just adjusting setting until I just turned off Audyssey and did manual adjustments. That got rid of a lot of the brightness in the sound. I then just had to adjust levels till I found a good sound. I will wait for either the RMC-1 or XMC-1 Gen 3 before I give a final verdict on the DR-2.

I’m waiting for the XMC-1 gen3 as well. I was thinking of replacing my XPR-2 with the DR-2 since the DR-2 is fully balanced but probably not now. My XPR-2 is a lot better than the XPA-2 gen2 I had.
