Do you mean Atmos? I thought the V3 board was out already. No, I mean the v3 HDMI aboard. It’s in the hands of testers and they are working through small issues. I forgot to ask about the Atmos board. My bad! 😲

Where are our intrepid reporters and their detailed comments? chicagorspec jcz06 We need details! Let's start with the DC-2 update! And, hopefully, the thin client streamer product discussed at Emofest! Mark From what I could gather on the DC-2 about 2 months out...had a chance to listen to it...very nice! Saw the new XMR-1 in person, very cool and will make a great update for anyone. Had a chance to listen to the RMC-1 in 9.1.6, very impressive with great detail and well that many speakers just envelops the room.

How about confirmed launch specs on the RMC-1 and release date? Has anything changed on its rear panel since the last time it was shown in public (Emofest?)?

The release date is still close but it's still alittle more than over a month away....they are just waiting on some final items to be finished(their work is done)....I will say the 9.1.6 demo was fantastic and has give me some ideals To my knowledge the back panel hasn't changed since Emofest......

Awesome pictures Hair Nick! But I can't see the "Gen3" on the "XMC-1" badging ... Hhmmm, looking more closely at that picture it might be the XMC-1, Gen2 since it looks like it's 3U high instead of 4U high like the RMC-1 ... Casey The XMC-1 Gen3 fits in the same chassis as the XMC Gen2. As for the badging, we might drop that being on the products and use it more as an internal thing. I think it makes sense to at least have a sticker or something on the back so you'd know what's in the device (in case of a second hand sale).

There will definitely be a way to tell the difference somewhere on the chassis. Just thinking of removing that off the front. Nothing has changed on the back panel for the RMC or the XMC G3. Hardware is done and signed off on at this point. Just waiting on code stuff now. Timing wise, the RMC will drop first then the other products will follow. Since the XMR and XMC-1 G3 use the same platform as the RMC, they will be close behind.

The Emotiva room was nice as always. They did a nice job with the best room location wise. The Dolby Atmos Demo was definitely very nice as well. Damon mentioned the RMC-1 is about two months away so whatever that means in Emotiva’s time table.
The Emotiva demo is a little confusing to me. I feel like they are limiting the performance level of the RMC-1 and the DR amps with the Emotiva branded speakers. It was definitely a nice demo but it lacks the fidelity of speakers that are a little more high end.
So it lacks a little “balance”, if their ideal is to have a customer buy all Emotiva from electronics to speakers.

So when are we going to get broad specifications of the RMC-1 versus XMC-1G3 versus XMR-1? For instance, we know that the RMC-1 has 16 fully balanced channels with AK4490 (the "EN" packaging if I remember correctly) on each. The XMC-1G3 is going to be fully balanced on its front three channels (Left/Center/Right) and a total of 13 channels (i think). Will theXMC-1G3 also be using AK4490ENs on the front three channels? What will be the maximum Dirac Operational Frequency of the XMC-1G3 (I think the RMC-1 will be 96kHz)? DSD input limitations on USB input? (e.g. DSDx1 and DSDx2 over PCM, DoP; "native" DSD up to DSDx4, etc.)
Curious minds want to know ... :-)

Thanks for listening. Now just call it the XMC-2 and you will finally not hear one complaint from anyone on this forum. Just like the ERC-1, ERC-2 and ERC-3. Or the new up and coming DC-2. Simple.

At least the factual history I have seen, or lack there of actually. I have not seen one single post even hinting of a complaint or controversy surrounding the afor mentioned products, the ERC or DC line. Emotiva has just bumped up a number as they go along and since its such a simple thing, not one single person I've seen has voiced any issue about it. Of course I most certainly could have missed it if there were one, but I'd wager there aren't any.

Same exact response i got from someone who attended Emofest with the latest gear set up. The weakest link was the speakers.

I have an outdoor zone 2 setup that I currently control from my Marantz app.

So the XMC-1 Gen 3 will be $3499 according to Big Dan. If that's the case I don't see the point on getting the XMC-1 Gen 2 for $2999 fully loaded then. I may end moving my XMC-1 Gen 2 to the bedroom and getting a XMC-1 Gen 3 for the living room, though.
