I'm thinking about purchasing the MC-700 but don't want to miss out on the new Dolby Atmos technology. Do you know if Emotiva has any plans on producing a BasX pre-processor with Dobly Atmos in the near future? I'm not in a rush to buy and willing to wait a year or two if it's in the making.

That's because, other than the Emersa line and something like an XMC-1 "light", Emotiva hasn't talked about anything in the space you are asking about. And, even those were not solid plans. I think once the RMC-1 and XMC-1 Gen 2 are out, we might hear more. Until then, I wouldn't expect to hear anything more. Although, in a recent podcast, I believe they alluded to some surprises coming soon in the processor space - but no details. Mark |

ATMOS and budget friendly do not go hand in hand. Best processors for ATMOS right now can be had on the used market. We do not currently recommend or install ANY MC-700 models given their track history. Your best bet is to look on the used market for one as it will likely be many years before Emotiva releases anything affordable in that category. |
