ERC 3 replacement?

Is there a new model in the works to replace the 3?

I know they are showing sold out but I didn't think it was being discontinued. They may be just waiting on a new batch. The website has a note saying "click here to be notified by mail when ERC-3 becomes available".

Have you called them to check the latest?

If they do replace it I hope it's better than the 3. Mine is fussie with some tracks where it skips - and the exact same spot. I put the disc in my Grant Fidelity tube CDP and no problems. Some discs I've been able to clean the disc and I mean really clean the surface and it won't skip. Very annoying.

I have no issues whatsoever with my ERC-3 and I don't see how they could improve it.

I own two ERC-3 and neither has had any issues. I just wish the disc tray was on the left side. Maybe they will fix that in the ERC-4 if offered.

Exactly. I've been saying this for years and get mostly ridiculed for it. As it is now, the ERC-3 is made for left handed people. It may not bother many people, or it may work better for some people's racks, but the fact is its made backwards for right handed people.

My main thought for the ERC-4 to have is a digital input so people can use the ERC-4 as a DAC. Like an Oppo 105 & 205 can do.

We are just currently sold out. We’ll have an ETA for the next shipment soon.
