Almost odd for an Emotiva amp that they didn't include a trigger input instead. I guess they figured these will be used by people who want the most simple set up? They have trigger inputs. I’m just trying to avoid wiring up the trigger ins and outs #lazy lol. Pictures I can see on my phone look like the auto on switch is the only option, no trigger. Are you sure it has a trigger input?

You are correct. Don’t know why I thought they had a trigger.

I haven't heard any Class D amps in a long time, the last one was a PS Audio HCA-1 or something along those lines. Kept it for awhile but it just didn't quite get there for me.
Since then many companies have created some serious design work with this technology including but not limited to PS Audio. They have their Stellar 300 stereo and M700 mono blocs that even Paul McGowan states are 90% of the the audio quality of their much more expensive BHK amps. Thats a fairly potent statement. In any case from all I understand these amps sound awesome having nothing in common with previous Class D amps of the past.
I would love to hear these new PA-!'s just not sure I'm ready to give up my room heaters yet, the XPA-1 Gen 2 in Class A mode. FWIW in the conversation I have compared them to my XPA-3 using just two channels and well there really wasn't much comparison. The mono blocs were noticeably better.

3 mains sources for 'D' amps. ICE which is a B&O name nCore which belongs to HYPEX Proprietary which are the remainder of 'original' designs.
The PSAudio HCA-1 was an older design. I bought into the series that came AFTER that in the form of the GCC integrated and GCP preamp. The GCC stuff used B&O modules and proprietary input and switching circuitry. The input modules were 'potted' and about the size of a couple desks of cards end-to-end.
I don't remember the name of the real Power House 'd' amp from a few years ago. But they may be GONE for all I know. But it was a proprietary design and got good press.
The PA-1 amp should follow in the path blazed by the rest of the B&O line. Nothing revolutionary, just good sound.
