I don't know about Europe, but here in the U.S.A. I would seriously consider 3 pairs of Emotiva Airmotiv T2, 2 Airmotiv S12 subs, and 1 Airmotiv C2 center. This is about $5000 in the U.S.A.

Honestly very best is so subjective.
Is your room more suited to bookshelf speakers? Floorstanders? Do you want one subwoofer or two? Do you prefer metal tweeter, soft dome or ribbon?
My initial impression would be to look at the Silver Series from Monitor Audio, Tannoy Revolution XT Series, and the 600 Series from B&W. Other great brands that I personally like would be Dali Zensor or Opticon Line, Focal or Dynaudio.
Your taste in music and the ability of your receiver to drive them will also be a determining factor.

Sorry man, but you can't just jump on an internet forum and ask for what are the very best speakers for X amount of dollars. Speakers are a very personal choice, and they are highly subjective. Even in the same room 2 speakers of the highest quality can sound totally different to each listener. You might be able to narrow down some choices by asking, but that's about it. You need to get out and go to stores in your area to do your own sampling. Anything else is just foolish in my book. My 2 cents.

Just like Bonzo said (right on the money), your approach is no way to find the sound you want. You're describing what ALL of us look for, but we all hear things differently, for plenty of reasons; the room, the other gear, the bucks and all the rest. I suggest getting "out there" and hearing as many brands as you can until you find the one that renders acoustic music and brass, as realistically to your ears as possible. If those sounds are great for you, the rest (music and movie impact) will fall into place, with subwoofer/s added. Most major players employ similar drivers, and that's the basis for constructing a budget. (The size you can afford) Bill

Personally I like the accuracy of horn speakers. No idea what dealers you have in Europe but Klipsch offers great bang for the buck with the Heritage line. Heresy have been a fantastic speaker for 70 years. Fairly inexpensive and available in real wood veneer finishes. Paired with a sub or two you get a full range sound from a small footprint with plenty of money left over to spend on an external amp! www.klipsch.com/products/heresy-iii-floorstanding-speakerIf you would rather have a floor standing speaker without the need for subs www.klipsch.com/products/forte-iiiThere are plenty of Klipsch Reference Premier that will produce fantastic sound as well, with a lot of options for bookshelf, center and surround speakers to timbre match. www.klipsch.com/audio-speakers

UUUUHHHHH...…………..well ok!! In October, I bought a 2017.5 (yep! 2017.5) Nissan Murano. The .5 (so they said) is because of the addition of Apple Car Play. It's the "Platinum" with all bells and whistles in there. The audio is from a Bose "premium" sound system with 10 or 12 (I don't even know for sure) speakers, and a subwoofer mounted on top of the spare tire. The only way the system sounds really good is if you crank it to a level no human can tolerate while driving. At normal listening levels, the sound galvanizes the BOSE reputation....."NO HIGHS, NO LOWS IT MUST BE BOSE." The audio in my 16 year old Durango, at normal levels is better, much better. Bill

You misread the question and respond erroneously. Still like these speakers. If my big ARs ever give up the ghost these are what I'd get.

I got a new Mazda 3 Grand Touring model last year with all the bells and whistles, including a "premium" Bose sound system. It's horrible! Contrary to no highs no lows it must be Bose, mine sounds like it was equalized with an exaggerated happy face. Boomy bass and tizzy highs and muddy mids. I tried using the equalizer/tone controls but they can only do so much and it ain't enough.

I would read some reviews online to get some ideas. Remember a lot of the reviewers are hooking these speakers up to high priced equipment and rooms that are set up for great acoustics. Go to a few shops and do some comparisons. Look at the gear they are connecting to the speakers to ensure they are using suitable gear for the speakers. The beast speakers are the ones that sound best to you. Also take some of your music that will give the speakers a test for all that you are looking for sound-wise. Try to buy the same manufacturer and series if you can, it will help with seamless sound all around you.

Bill I agree, the OP should hear for himself exactly what speakers he is drawn to. I would have never been drawn to Allison speakers that needed a complete rebuild myself but there is something out there for everyone I guess. I'm completely happy with my Klipsch collection. To each his own.

Performance also guaranteed for 5 years. That performance level ended up lasting 35 years until I sold them off.

I wasn't trying to bash your speakers, I just know that there are several speakers from any manufacturer that need upgrading as you go along. My Klipsch KLF-30 have a reputation for the cabinet issues, yet with four pair of them....all bought used, have never had a single issue in their lives. They were circa 1998 I believe, and also came with a 5 year warranty. I can say that these speakers are likely my end game. I can't bear a large footprint like the La Scalas, and have no true corners to accommodate KHorns. These KLF 30 rival most speakers in bass reproduction and balance and for the $700 or so per pair I paid, I can think of few if any speakers that will challenge them. Horns are not for everyone but I have loved them since first hearing Belles as a teen, the fact I now own what seems to be the perfect speaker (for me) tells me not to sweat the small stuff when it comes to audio reproduction. If you have never heard the Klipsch KLF-30, do yourself a favor and give them a listen if you have the opportunity to do so. A lot of the Klipsch shortcomings, namely bass....are realized in these speakers, plus the uppers and mids are not harsh like some others in the line up.

I was not expecting much from the "premium" Bo$e system, but the biggest disappointment was the lack of EQ. Just "Bass" and "Treble" controls... As for the OP, the question is akin to ask which woman to marry ☺. Would not want to get involved in such matter, it is entirely subjective 😁.
