So far, if you combine the votes, it's about 2/3's don't use their tuners at all in their main system, while about 1/3 do, sometimes. Interesting.

This doesn’t bode well for me as I just found a tuner I’m testing to sell (at least it’s not a Sequerra!)

For the most part, I only listen to AM/FM in the car, but even there - it's more likely to be XM or streaming Tidal from my phone to my car audio (which sounds GREAT!).
I do occasionally listen to internet radio stations through my Sonos for "Around the House" listening. But, I never need a tuner in my "critical listening" room.

The only thing in the XMC1 I HATE.

I listen to FM radio at work 8-10 hours per day, 5 days per week, and in my car as long as I’m behind the wheel. At home, not as much.
I will say, however, that the HD Radio tuner in my AV7703 blows away the chintzy tuner that’s included with every processor I’ve owned before it. That includes the XMC-1. I also have an HD Radio tuner in my car and the difference is amazing. MUCH better sounding than anything available on SiriusXM.

SiriusXM audio quality isn't even in the same league.

I didn't vote because I use a stand alone tuner. Carver TX-11b and TX-11a I listen every Sunday morning and sometimes during the week, here and there.

I would listen if there was something to hear. I will stream KSHE95 (St. Louis) on Sunday mornings to hear their Klassics show but nothing in local Indy market interests me. I don't have an HD Tuner. I can stream SiriusXM thru my phone (wife's car subscription) but agree sound quality is lacking.

Never used the tuner in my XMC-1 since I originally purchased it... I think it was November 2014? To be honest, I wish it was an option or simply removed. It must be 8 - 10 years, maybe longer, since I've listened to radio in a car. Personally, I just hate the BS talk, rants, commercials, etc. as I rather listen to music without inturruption.

I haven't gotten my units to work properly but tuner may be required in a zombie apocalypse.

I've thought about purchase of a good tuner. Some of the vintage stuff is very very good.
Than I think about what I could listen to and forget it.
FM has mostly gone away. Too many ads? Mediocre programming? Limited fidelity?
If you're worried about radio in the Zombie Apocalypse? Get a decent transistor radio. I have my SONY ICF2010 and batteries.

If it wasn't for NPR. I wouldn't bother with FM at all. Most of my play is streamed or recorded. Listening on my Tascam DR-40 on the XMC-1 now. A tuner for me at least is why bother on that. Your mileage may vary of course.

Any suggestions for a GOOD vintage tuner? <150$ would be very nice.

Any suggestions for a GOOD vintage tuner? <150$ would be very nice. Carver TX-11 or the TX-11a (has AM) (althou many now need, or will need, a replacement trimmer cap and IC chip for display - available on eBay via Circuits and Concepts)
-or- Luxman T-111

I owned a Carver amp from that era....maybe older? Luxman certainly is a name I remember.
I'll check it out.
A quick check shows the CARVER TX11a is the way to go. Adds FM to original and a few refinements. Within my price range on EPray.
