Here's how I store my headphones. Cheap and available online or at ANY 'beauty supply' place. I painted mine with a 'clear' which tended to dissolve the styrofoam..... Isn’t that foam a little ruff on the pads?

Isn’t that foam a little ruff on the pads? It would be if I DRUG the headphones off the stand. But I'm fairly carful.......and I DID coat 'em with a clear / plastic stuff which while having the side-effect of dissolving the foam (that's why it looks like it has Acne) also filled and softened the surface somewhat. The fake-head is VERY light, which I think might not work well with heavy headphones. I'd build a base, if I gave a X*7%6#.

Big Sennheiser fan. When I wanted to replace some parts of the my 1991 HD Ovation after 23 years, parts we still available! Last few years I bought several Sennheisers for different use. Decent Earbudgets to be used while travelling light and the Noise Cancelling PCX 550 while travelling by train for my work and to be used if it is very noisy at Central Office.. For relaxed listening at home I had bought the MassDrop 6xx (HD650 version) which I use in connection with the OPPO HA headphone amplifier. As audio source player I then use my Hobby PC or my mobile phone playing flac files via USB Audio Pro app. After hearing the HD800s at an Audio show I'm now busy to get approval from the Boss at home to buy the HD800s. I once bought the, via an on-line store, the OPPO PM-1 but after one day returned it because I didn't like the wear comfort.. And what use is a good sounding Headphone if the wear comfort is not good...
