I’m curious as to how many of us use HP on a regular basis? What HPs you own and why you like them? DAC / Amp combo? How often do you use HPs? Specific uses for using them.
Post a picture of your HPs @ rig if you have one. Show us your cans! 😋
Over the past 6 months I’ve taken to the use of HP in the evening as to not disturb the house. Picked up a couple of Massdrop cans, dynamics and a planar to add to my first set from many years ago, Sennheiser HD 280 Pro. Very economical cans and were good enough at the time.
Most of us with full two channel systems will require much better cans to complete with the SQ we are accustomed too.
Just curious about our group of enthusiasts.

Own multiple sets (but only need one), studio use only, less than weekly.

Just wading back into HP. Bought a pair of Focal Elear and a Bryston BHA-1 amp. Will probably listen to more HP at February audio show in Tampa which I plan to attend, at which time I may supplement or replace. I’m also using primarily when loudness of primary system would bother other household members, and occasionally to compare different copies/mastering of a recording. I might use them 2-3 hours at once, then not again for a few weeks, so I put 1 hour per week.

I didn't see an option for "none."
Due to a birth defect in my semicircular canal, somewhat corrected via surgery, the dynamics of headphone listening cause vertigo.
It sucks big time on several levels.

Thank you Lord for all the gifts you’ve given me. 🙏

It sucks big time on several levels. And a "very little" option. I have had some SH 6XXs since last winter and have only listened to them once. Glad I only paid $200 on Massdrop.

I purchased the HD6XX Massdrop Sennheiser's, a Denon 2930CI DVD/SACD player.. (from the Emporium), and a brand new Emotiva Basx A-100 amplifier a month or so ago and the combination is a game changer for listening to music for me. Instead of watching TV every night I spin a different CD to help me unwind from my day.
Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Marilyn Manson, Mudvayne, Lincoln Park, Static-x, Tool, Stone Temple Pilots, Avenged Sevenfold and Incubus never sounded so completely engaging to me. The Basx A-100 has the goods and the headroom to take these cans to another level... Good times.

I bought this weekend new set of headphones from Beyerdynamic. My previous headphones failed me after about 15 years of almost daily use. It was also from Beyerdynamic: the DT 990 Pro. I audited several other brands but in the end I still prefer the headphones from Beyerdynmics. I bought the Amiron Home and it is powered by the XDA-2. All my music is stored in iTunes in a lossless format. I use the headphones almost on a daily basis for 2 to 3 hours on a very moderate volume.

A good portion of my job involves rebuilds and repairs on the bench--and earbuds in most of the time.

My Monoprice 560 Planars, and Blue Mofi, and my Klipsch IEMs with my Tascam DR-40. My souncraft Mixer gets most of the monitoring with the other two these days. Will be starting to do voicing tests and maybe podcasting soon, so Headphones figure greatly there.

I'm not big into headphones but do use them with my computer to hear music better and not bother others with music if they are in the room watching TV. AudioTechnica ATH-M50x - Nothing fancy but they are comfortable and sound pretty good IMO.

Novisnick all in the works. The platform and content are still being sorted. It will be about talking about all tech news and why you want it. Not so much reviews per se, but I can do that as well. Working on also a Large diaphragm microphone and boom, and a vacuum tube microphone preamplifier and the Cloud Cloud Lifter if I go with the Audio Technica AT2020, or a used electro voice RE20, or Rode NT1. No USB mics. I have a mixer USB interface already. So will be doing more assembly of my system, and get things going, then I will seek sponsorship as well. Allot of work and a ways to go. Thanks for your interest Novisnick.

Another question if y’all don’t mind. How do you store you headphones when not in use?
