What power cables do you use for
A) power amps ?
B) source components ?
C) preamp ?
This is not a question of weather you think they improve your sound or not, I don’t want to stir that pot. Just curious what others here are using.
Make and models for each if you can.

I went with Pangea AC 14SE because they were pretty. Well, and I was able to get them cheap and at specific lengths and they were shielded. Casey

A) Power Amps - Either the cable that came with them or else 14-ga. ones from Parts-Express
B) Source Components - Either the cable that came with the unit or else 18-ga generic computer cords
C) Preamplifiers - Either the cable that came with them or 18-ga generic computer cords (solid state) or 14-ga. ones from Parts-Express (tube units)
HOWEVER - I'm about to try some Pangeas or shielded Emotivas to see if they make a difference.

Emotiva no longer offers power cords on its site. I’ve tried a single Pangeas but feel that a bigger improvement would be observed by changing all the cords to the gear.

You're right - Emotiva no longer offers power cords. But my closet...

1. Pangea AC 9SE MK II for the monoblocks powering the two front towers in each system (and set to full range for 2-channel music)
2. Stock power cables for all other amps in the systems that are not powering the 2 fronts
3. Shunyata Venom or Diamondback premium cables for source components (excluding network players, and computers, of course)

All original Emotiva power cables, I just swapped the US plugs with Aussie plugs.

No matter what fancy power cable you buy as an “upgrade”, it is still likely plugging into to same $2 builder grade wall outlet wired with 14 gauge Romex wandering all over the house. Stick with the manufacturer provided cables and spend your money on another album too listen to and a good bottle of whiskey instead.

I tried some aftermarket power cables but didn't see a bit of difference in the performance in any of my components. They were also super thick, and not very pliable. Made for running them behind the cabinet difficult. Sold them and went back to the stock cables

A, B, C: stock cables, or similar gage power cables that came with other equipment (they usually all get tossed in the same box and sometimes get mixed up). I do have a couple of custom made speaker cables, and XLR cables that are "pretty" - and that is only because they're bog standard speaker wire that I dressed up with mesh wrap and shrink wrap, and flashy plugs. This is only for my front left/right speakers because my mono-blocks are sitting next to the speaker. All my other amps/equipment are hidden away in a closet.

Cross my heart! ❤️ novisnick: Have performed lots of tests with power cables and prefer 15 amp Pangea (AC 14) for the power conditioners and components and 20 amp Pangea AC9 for amplifiers (reading off of a 20 amp Furman conditioner). As is always the case, audibility of the improvement is based on how well tuned your system is. Recently, replaced for a short while the cable to my conditioner (Furman 15 Elite) with the standard cable and was surprised at the change -- for the worse. Replaced the Pangea 14 immediately. For me the difference is in transparency and SN. It is clearly audible but not dramatic. And all depends on the electric feed and conditioners, of course.

Pangea AC 9SE MK II for my two main speaker amps (vertical passive bi-amped). Pangea AC 14SE MK II for my sources. (XMC-1, Oppo-93). Factory cables for the surround sound amps.

All that came with components, although I added a 12 gauge three prong four feet extension cord, which some how helped the CMX2 to get rid of all hum....
