Music - got any pics of your ceiling setup? Yeah let me dig them up. Note mine are ON ceiling. Angled boxes. Not infinite baffle. Mine are flush mounted infinite baffle. I’ll post a pic when I get home.

Get diysoundgroup volt 6’s. You can install them infinite baffle. Will blow away anything else you are looking at While I agree from an auditory standpoint. MANY will dislike the look of the volts due to lack of included grille and because you need to solder a x-over.

Interesting. I've been wondering how to finish the Volts when installed in the ceiling. Any thoughts one their forum about creating an installation strategy that includes grilles?
Also, please tell more about your DIY AT screen. I'll be doing an AT screen in my theater and wasn't aware of the DIY approaches.
Thanks!
Chuck

Ryan Bouma (tuxedocivic), One of the Diysg speaker designers did a whole whack of testing on different fabrics and spandex's a few years back. I did silver over black for better contrast. Lots do white over black. Any way, he measured the effects of each differnet brand and type. He recommended two layers... I built my frame from pine 1x3's. creimes also did one he probably has pics of his in the build stage.

I’ve been digging a little deeper into my speaker search. They will most likely stay in the ceiling the day I sell my house, whenever that may be. Hopefully a long time from now so I donwant to spend an arm and a leg. $125 - $150 each, give or take a few $$.
Do I want / need, square speakers or round speakers? Does it matter? Do I want / need, two - way, three - way speakers? Something else? Again, how much does it matter for ceiling mounted Atmos speakers?

LOL, Spoke with Joe at RSL earlier today. They have service, informed personnel and a wonderful return policy. Those were the exact speakers I was asking him anout. Im now even more confident about doing business with them. That model often sells out quickly and gets back ordered from what I understand. Thanks so much for your recommendation, as well as everyone else that has chimed in! 👍

Very nice mounting work on the suspended ceiling. Do you have any pics of how it looks above the suspended ceiling?

Looks nice and clean, well done. But now you have me curious - what's the lettering that you have routed out in the plywood you mounted it to?
