Pry Emotiva for info about: - a new high end DAC and see if you can at least find out what they are thinking and whether or not they are actively working on it yet. - a streamer, like the think client option they were going to have as an add-on module - info about the RMC-1 add-on modules Mark We have been focused on our lack of DACs a lot. DC-2 and more. No details or release dates available yet. No dedicated release dates available on the modules yet. Focus has been on RMC firmware. Seems that the new DAC board is a little out of focus! LOL

What are the differences between the rmc-1L and now 16 channel xmc-2 besides the 16 vs 4 fully differential channels ? And finally. Pics please. And to anyone else attending, any news from nad or anthem as to new products being released ?? Looking at you Lsc

Also, unlike Emotiva with the nice large room, I mostly only enjoyed visiting the other nice rooms with ridiculous speakers I could never afford like the Focal Grand Utopia and the Von Schweikert Ultra 9. The folks that displayed the Wilsons with giant amps but like to demo elevator music and modest volumes - lame lol. I’m only going to buy the Emotiva RMC-1L or XMC-2 so I didn’t go to those other rooms looking for information. Most of the rooms are dealers so I’m not sure they would have more info. The press guys I’m sure will cover that. Sorry I don’t have any more relevant info. If you are deciding between B&W 802D3 or Paradigm Persona, I can give you some advice on that .

After all if the hardware is all set to go - I’ll take it with the issues. And there in lies a HUGE difference between folks like you and manu others here. Sorry, but this is a big "no dice" in my book. I'm not buying a new car that hesitates due to an injection programing issue, has to have the battery fully disconnected 3 times a week to get things running right, honks its horn loudly every 8 minutes, and periodically just stops running for no reason. I simply do not understand yours and others attitude that it's okay to have such issues just because when it is running its sounds good. I want a good quality reliable daily driver, not a 300 mph tempramental dragster. This is simply not acceptable. Period. And your attitude that putting out the RMC-1L having the same hiccups as the regular model is just unreal. You and I are on 2 completely different planets. If you find this way of consistently producing and releasing DEFECTIVE products acceptable, we will just have to agree to TOTALLY disagree. I understand your position. I personally don’t really care what other people think when it comes to my buying decisions. Anytime I took the advice of others, it ended up in regrets and mistakes. My setup is simple - LG Oled TV, Sony 4K Blu-Ray player and my speakers along with my Emotiva XPR Amps. So, I’m not too worried about the RMC-1L handling this setup. I could be wrong. Maybe I’ll win the RMC-1 tonight and we will see 😬.

I just hope "how" I say it doesn't come across as harsh or making personal attacks. We just have opposing opinions on the topic. Nothing wrong with that. I'll leave it there. We have already intruded too much in this thread. I'd rather discuss what's new and upcoming. Hopefully we get more than an "announcement" about the XMC-1 Atmos update. We got that news 2+ years ago. I think we can all agree about Emotiva time line promises.

T2+ and T1+ announced and T2 now $799 on the site. What changes between a T2 and a T2+? Mark Upgrade to the crossover, the "cut out" design is going away so it will match the Airmotiv T-Zero, and adding the outriggers.

XMC-2 announcement:
The existing upgrade Atmos board to the XMC-1 that was previously announced isn't happening. Having two separate OS paths with the different chips were going to be far too expensive and time consuming for the engineering team. Instead, we will offer an upgrade path to a brand new XMC-2 unit with a trade in program.
For any person who owns an XMC-1 with the V3 board, you can upgrade to a brand new XMC-2 for $650. If you have an XMC-1 without the V3 board, it will be $1,050 to upgrade.
Basically getting a brand new unit for the price of what the Atmos board upgrade was going to be.
We will have an official announcement hitting the site soon but wanted to give you the heads up first.

Software programming isn't cheap and this will contain those costs which I'm sure are already higher than planned after all the RMC work. I'd trade in to get the new processing chips even if I don't do 4k or Atmos. Once the XMC2 becomes stable, that is.
