Will the XMC-2 be able to run Dirac? From the Trade-In page: Instead of offering current XMC-1 owners the option of upgrading their existing XMC-1 unit to support Dolby Atmos and DTS-X, we’re offering current XMC-1 owners the opportunity to TRADE IN their old XMC-1 for a brand new XMC-2, with support for the latest 4k HDMI video, a full sixteen channels of balanced audio output for Dolby Atmos and DTS-X, and Dirac room correction. I get that. But the RMC-1 doesn’t do Dirac,so I need to be cautious

Hopefully, Dirac gets it worked out soon. Mark

Mark I know Dirac is a great addition to the processor and many used it with excellent success.. for me, I never used it with my XMC so being there or not is not a game changer for me.

I get that. But the RMC-1 doesn’t do Dirac,so I need to be cautious “I get that. But the RMC-1 doesn’t do Dirac yet, so I need to be cautious “ there, I’ve fixed that for you! 😋 Since the RMC-1, RMC-1L and XMC-2 share the same architecture, when they get Dirac working on the RMC-1, the other two integrations should come for “free”. For all those that want to keep their XMC1, it’s not a bad idea either just to keep it but considering Emotiva raised their upgrade from their original 40% off way back when to 66.7% off of this upgrade, maybe it’s time to cut em some slack. This type of good faith is unheard of in audio / home theater world. When I bought my XMC1, the retail was $2000 I think. They are giving us 100% of the purchase price as credit.

Wonder if we will be able to give our name in advance for the UMC-1 upgrade to UMC-2. Any thoughts? Mel

I haven’t a clue why your asking me to cut Emotiva some slack, I only commented that Dirac doesn’t work yet! I’m sure it will and it will sound as great as it did with my XMC-1. Im pretty much a Fan of Emotiva!

"Most" is a stretch. "Many" may work for the forum members.I'd say "Some" is more accurate if you're talking about XMC-1 owners in general. To be honest I’m not sure many outside of the forum or just fans of Emotiva were eager to jump on the XMC based on all the missed deadlines and almost complete failure of the UMC. I could very well be wrong. But early adopting the XMC was a gamble for sure Timelines seem askew .. Find it a bit curious to attach a preponderance of "gambling" to the XMC1 from the UMC1 when Emo had much more successfully launched the umc200 before the XMC1 I would have deep sixed the UMC1 and got a UMC200 if I had a bad example Now wheres the trade up deal for a pristine - hdmi back panel scratches UMC200 OR PT7030 on a refurbished XMC1

That’s a great deal! My warranty is good till Oct. 2019, and my XMC1 hasn’t as much as a fingerprint on it! Hopefully, some feedback will be out there (I won’t go first) before I go ahead with this. Bill

Mel UMC-2 is projected for 2023 so you have a long wait I think the UMC-1 folks got a 40% off card if I’m not mistaken. That would bring the XMC2 down to $1800 and maybe sell the UMC1 for $200? I agree even this great deal that I laid out isn’t close to he XMC1 deal. Some of us may start a new campaign- MEGA...Make Emotiva Great Again 😊. What a smoking deal this is...this kind of deal may never resurface again.

So is Dirac 2.0 confirmed?
How long is the turn around if we hand deliver an XMC-1? i.e. can we walk out with a replacement.
When is this XMC-2 or RMC-1L going to be available
Will there be a trade in waiting list?

This is fantastic news, and I for one will most certainly be trading mine in. My XMC 1 is one of the best audio purchases I have ever made!

Dumb Question -- I have my DIRAC set up the way that works best for me. My Mag 1.7i respond fantastically to Dirac. The question is can those settings be transferred from XMC 1 to XMC 2 We have the ability to save setting on the XMC 1, but never tried to restore those setting to a different XMC 1.
