Stills and Motion it is our life behind the lens. The Sony a6400 out of the box gets hot and bothered after just 20 minutes or less of video at 4K UHD 30fps. Set the Heat to the higher setting. I got 4K UHD 30fps at 45 plus minutes and still going. Sure the camera is warm, but it did not shutdown, plus no 29.97 time limit.

Bruce, Was that a hungry frog, or did some other critter take a few bites out of your hand?? We have bright green tree frogs around here that make a lot of racket. They seem to like it in the gutters.... Cheers! Chuck

It’s amazing how much noise little frogs can make, but they keep the bugs down! 👋 Oh, and my wife’s hands, she’s tough.

Try finding him around the middle of November! Around here it seems the only way you see them in November is when you have no way of hunting them down (i.e. no gun, no bow, etc)

This was taken in March this year. The locals call it the 'spud special', or just spud train. It services spurs along the main on BNSF's Columbia Sub.

Unlike our friends in the south, we are not in nature’s path of destruction, but the Caldor fire is in ‘the vicinity’. Today is the first in about a week where we’ve had good air quality and can see some distance. While the closest edge of the fire is between 15 and 20 miles away, the major growth is to the east, into the Tahoe basin, that’s likely what this plume is over. It’s certainly not this pretty there. 🙁

This guy (a blue heron) landed in one of the fields and immediately started hunting, he quickly caught what is probably a vole (we usually look to snakes and hawks for this service). I kept my distance hoping he would keep hunting, but I imagine this was pretty filling for him. This was 3x optical zoom on my iPhone 13 pro, with additional digital zoom, I like the painting like quality it created.
