Hi all, besides music and movies, which helps a lot, what do you people do to fight it?

Jiu jitsu. Anything to get your endorphins going and getting out of the house should help.

Hi all, besides music and movies, which helps a lot, what do you people do to fight it? Running. I run about 10 miles every weekend either Saturday or Sunday. It gives me an hour or so to just clear my mind.

Things I try to do to mitigate stress
Eat healthy Good sleep (which sadly means going easy on the alcohol) Exercise Handling emotions by talking about them Meditation and music
I also take one of the cars out for a spin on some quiet back roads or rip it up on a track.

BTW, I notice that no-one has directly mentioned "sex" yet, even though it is often touted in the popular media as a major stress reliever. That silence itself could be interesting on so many levels. However, given how that silence itself is bound to become louder and more eloquent the more posters continue to ignore the subject, I have to wonder whether the source is 1. some manifestation or incarnation of Christian/protestant/puritan prudishness, 2. Some other form of discomfort related to speaking about the S word, or 3. A feeling that such a topic is inappropriate or not decorous, for reasons other than those mentioned in 1. or 2. 4. A genuine feeling that the role of sex in this area is overrated and grossly overhyped by the popular media for non-sex related reasons, such as publicity for/or commercial gains? I do not know the appropriate answer, but at least we can now escort the annoying elephant in the room to the door, and ask him to leave
